ok..so how many days do you need to see it all ??? will my kids enjoy it?? ages will be 4 and 7.......is it just as expensive as disney???? is thanksgiving a good time of year to go??? ok that is all i will ask for now...

You will need at least 2 days to see much (but not all) of the 2 parks.

Whether your children will enjoy it depends on their likes and dislikes. My own feelings are that there are areas of both parks that they'll love (Seuss Island, Fievel's Playland, Jimmy Neutron) but then they are going to dislike some of the other.

Adult Disney 1-day tickets cost $55.38 for a single day/ one park. A single day/ one park pass for an adult at Universal costs $53.95 plus tax. Multi-day/Multi-park passes have lower per day costs.

Thanksgiving is not the best time to go. It will be very crowded and the weather can be iffy(read that to mean coat and hat weather). You don't want to get soaked on Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges when the temperature is below 60. But if there is no other time of year that you can make it, then I would recommend staying at one of the onsite hotels so that you can get Front-of-the-Line Access and by-pass the regular lines.

alrighty so like a whole week there is too much time then??? i dont wanna go when it is really hot we just got back from disney yesterday and the weather was perfect....what time of year do you suggest???

4-5 days is nice. You can take the shuttle bus over to Sea World for a day as well. Anytime is great but if you want to really enjoy all the water rides I would probably not go in January or February. All of the holidays are busy at Universal and the hotels are a lot more expensive at those times.

speaking of shuttle buses....once your in universal they have the buses that will take you from place to place???? i am so confused .....are both the parks right next to each other??

Both parks and Citywalk are right next to each other. If you stay onsite, you can walk via walking paths or ride a water taxi to the parks. The convenience of staying onsite is 2nd to none but the real perk is having the FOTL access. The walk from RPR or HRH is no more than 10 minutes and the paths are surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. The water taxi is great if your feet are tired from walking in the parks all day. You will never need a car or bus while staying onsite unless you choose to go somewhere outside of Universal.

And I forgot to add that 4-5 days would allow you to see and enjoy everything without wearing yourself out. You can buy a 2 park pass good for 5 consecutive days for $94.95 online but there is currently a deal where you can get this pass for $81.95. Use this link:

The parks and 3 onsite hotels are all within walking distance, or there is a water taxi. It is a short walk. The bus referred to is for if you wish to go to Seaworld or an off site area. Citywalk, the three hotels, and two parks are all onsite and no transportation is needed. We went last fall without the kids and have a trip planned for this year with the kids. I think kids will enjoy the park a lot, though some areas are not for the smaller children. It takes about 3 days to do the two parks completely, so 4-5 leaves time for relaxation, pools, seaworld, and re-doing anything you missed or liked a lot. The cheapest ticket would be the five day consecutive day pass for $89, or look at the links on the threads below for the Kraft offer where you get the 5 day pass for $82. It is really a bargain. Also, once you have used the Front of the Line by staying onsite, it will be hard to go back to waiting in line anymore.

We are going during Thanksgiving.I just made my reservations for RPR it is going to be crowded but this is really the only time we can go as we have kids in school and summer is definately out of the question.Your kids should have fun the rides look cool and fun.I was told the weather could be from mid 60's to high 70's
which is fine with me we are from Oklahoma and it is in the low 40's here today!
