Can anyone guide me in the right direction to find something ( other than the box it comes in) to carry a wand in at the parks so it’s easy to access? I’ve seen people mention some type of wand holder but I can’t find anything when I search- thank you!

@soniam - I always wonder if the wands will get damaged if I use a holder. Do they feel pretty safe?

I’m debating bringing a backpack/sling bag just for wands. Last time we went, we had a stroller and stashed everything underneath. We are trying to go stroller free this time - yay! - but I feel like I’ll miss the storage!

I have broken 2 McGonagall wands. They are very long and have a thin plastic tip at the base/handle of the wand. Only that tip has broken off. One broke before the holder, and the other broke after the holder. The interactive tip has been fine. I still have them both and just use it. I figure it's destiny and character at this point. I think shoving them in the lockers did it. My son broke a wand before we had the holders. He just dropped it on the ground; he was holding it. The interactive tip quit working. My son's wand has been fine in a holder though. His is Ron's, and it's a normal length. The bottom of the holder has a padded plastic rounded container to protect the interactive tip. I did have my holder made longer for the McGonagall wand, but the holder doesn't really protect that thin plastic decorative bit well. I should have added some padded myself. Just be careful shoving them in the locker. Carry it so that it doesn't get caught on people in the crowd when walking. Be careful when putting it down (put it down gently) and when holding it on rides. Don't let it slide around.

Thanks for that!! I feel like we have lucked out that our wands still work after multiple trips, plane rides and 4 year olds practicing magic. :)

I’ll check out a holder - and cross my fingers! ;)

We have had ours since 2015 for multiple trips/year. So, yeah, a lot of use and abuse. Good luck

Can you use the wand holders that look like lanyards on the rides or do they have to go in lockers
