We've booked to go to Walt's when we go in November, however having looked at the menu we're beginning to have second thoughts

Can't say there is a lot on there that we'd eat.

Therefore, I'm asking is it worth going there for the experience alone???

That's a tough one, it's our favourite but I'd say no. I love the food in there, the atmosphere and surroundings are perfect to me also, boring for dd though  Someone else will probably disagree but if you won't enjoy the food it wouldn't be the same experience in my opinion.

Walts is a beautiful restaurant, full of memorabilia and atmosphere. We were not that impressed with the food I have to say (nothing wrong with it, but it didn't wow me), and I probably won't return. I'm glad we went though, to see the inside of the restaurant.

I'm hoping the Blue Lagoon wows me more on our next trip.

Its definitely fine dining and calmness rather than a full-on Disney experience - that suits us, especially after we'd had a long drive! We did get a table in the window so we could watch the parade, which was fun. But DS(8) (as he was then), although he enjoyed the food, spent more time looking out at the parade and had to be reminded to eat!

I've not heard good reports on Blue Lagoon, but never been there.

I love Walt's - it's my favourite DLP restaurant but if you don't think there's anything you'd like on the menu then I guess it's not worth going. Have you looked at people's photos on the Restaurant Review thread? I wondered if that would help make up your mind. Where do you normally like to eat when you go to DLP?
