Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hey guys, remember we're all Warriors here !! (especially those finishing Halfs with squishy blisters - ugh) Way to pull it out guys, now go take care of those blisters!!

I did a good 4 miles this morning. 3 min warmup, 56min26sec, 5 min cool down and 5 min stretching.

Negative splits to boot!:banana:

Hello Warriors!

5 miler for me this morning, with warm/up and cool down about 67 minutes. A little bit slower than I would have liked, but I'll take it.

Tracy is it still stinkin' humid by you ? I was drenched in less than a mile. Hurry up cool weather!! :woohoo: for your negative splits! I didn't even look at mine.
 
Amy: It's still pretty humid down here, not real bad, but still.
Drier weather would be nice and any time Mother Nature would like to do it would be GREAT.

I did the cancer research 10km in a country park this morning. It was a bit of a panic finding the park- despite it being huge (apparently central park's based on it!!!) there were no signs to it!!!!! Anyway somehow my time was 48:56, i don't know how it came out so fast altho my garmin thought the course was a teeny bit short. So thrilled. Double miles for us and 10mins warmup in the crowd, 10mins stretch.

Good Morning:

9 miles today. Time 2 hours 15 min. ALso did 5 min cooldown and 5 min stretching.

Strange - got a smal blister on the top of my foot just below the big to joint were I have an incision scar.??? Like right on top of the scar. Not sure why, I wore these shoes before and Used them for the DL 1/2?? Maybe the sock was in a weird spot or something??

Hi everyone,

I didn't do any mileage this morning, but spent 3 hours unpacking, rolling, and re-packing fire hose with gear on. This was my first time doing this, definately a workout.
 
Happy Sunday Team!!

Today was my 1st "post crunch" sorta' workout day.

I did about 8 miles in an hour on the bike while playing bike medic at the RFTT this morning, then did a 2 mile run/walk w/my DW this afternoon in 30 minutes.

Although there are still a few aches and pains (and really cool looking bruises too), all of the big pieces seem to be functioning pretty normally.

HI all! OMG whay a week last week. Out of town, kidnapped by jerky surveyor (nothing against surveyors, this one was just a major jerk), wedding on Friday.....Ugh. Glad this week shoudl eb better.

My work outs suffered big time. Got in 45 min walk SUnday. The nothing 'til Sat. 6 miles in 1:05. Great for me, especially because I wanted to die before starting. Then 35 min ride, 7.5 miles yesterday.

Barb - (((hugs))) After so many races, we are nound to have a bad one. SOrry this one was it for you. I think that means WDW shoudl eb great ro you, though. ;-) You know that any time you overcome obstacles like that, just finishing is a huge victory, right?

Kate, great effort with your event. Congrats on the time.

Sunday I woke to get to the event and was having foot pain so I chose to not go. I’m not sure if it is a bruise or if it is in any way related to an Achilles tendon issue; still hurts today and is fine as long as I don't do anything--like that is going to work. :mad:

I'll get my stats reported later for last week at least.
 
I'm back at it! 2 miles 30:06 minutes.

Thank you all for the kind words of comfort and support during my mini snit. I hurt so badly I just needed to whine. I'm so over it now!!!!!

Michelle, I hope you are doing better as well. That was so strange we had almost the exact experience.

Oh lovely tiger lady thanks for the congrats! Still can't work out how i got that time.

Went out to running club in horrid weather tonight, really nearly didn't get out of the car! Did 4.5miles of drills and tempo runs in 50mins with 10 stretchy mins too. Absolutely worn out and off for a bath right now. Keep it up warriors- you amaze me!

3 min warmup, then 57min 53 sec, then 5 min warmdown.

I ran RFTT on sunday so 6.2 miles in 1:11 (that counts as double right?) and I ran it with Jen in GA, lots of fun! Will try to get my race report up some time tomorrow.
