Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hey Warriors!

OK, I really need to start doing totals so I don't torment Carrie! Having said that, I only know the last two workouts. I went from compulsively writing every update in WISH green in my calendar to nothing. Crazy.

Anyway, Thursday night ended up being a R/W with two friends. (DH decided he didn't value my company enough to walk with the kids, so he went on his own;) ) They were asking me for basic advice, which was really fun since not many people want to hear about training! We did 4.5 miles in 70 minutes. The best part was that we were circling our church, and they have a night service on Thursday. The babysitter took all of our kids! (We did pay her some since she stayed longer). We're thinking that's the plan for every Thursday night, even if we look like heathens!

Saturday, Coach Harry and I did 7 miles in 85 minutes of all running at St. Simons Island. I ended up with sunburned arms- at least I was right in thinking it was miserably hot! No speed records, but I was happy to be back to our routine. Unfortunately, until the live oak pollen calms down, that may be the last long run I can do with Harry for awhile. :guilty: He was all stuffy and hacking afterwards- I think it's allergies. The wind was blowing straight at us, so he never had a chance...

That's it for now!

Jim - Woo hoo for your dd!!!

Barb - During the 07 marathon, when I started wakling due to the heat, I had a really hard tiem starting again. It was made worse by the thought of howlong the marathon would taek at that pace. I always really respected those who took longer, but until then, it didn't dawn on my how much more mentally prepared you had to be and how much mor time things took. Hats of to you for hangin in there.

OK, my brain hurts from my late night/early mornign tax session, so forgive me for not odoing shout outs to all.

Jen - Thansk fro thinking of me. It's not really a big deal, but as our team gets bigger and bigger, it will help.

OK, that being said, I'm sorry aI'm behind again. WIth my State adn Fed taxes filed, I only have on eeasy local to do. Going ot eb a late night at a meeting tonight, but I shoudl make soem progress Tue and Wed. Thanks for bearing with me, as always. :grouphug:

Oh, I did 5.1 in 47.5 min Saturday.

 Hey lovlies.

Well i got up and watched the london marathon start at 09.45 which included one of my friends- couldn't quite see her tho! Then i got all inspired and popped outside to do my long run instead of the gym.... 10miles 1hr 29mins (89mins). I did 6 laps of our village and got home fine, as soon as i stopped tho i could barely walk, my knees died! Ice and chilly bath for the first time ever and they're feelin ok.

Just tracked my friend- she's at 25km in 2hr 40 so she's doing fantastically. Oh i'm feeling proud!

Anyway, hope you're all having a lovely weeked- i'm def up for a bikethon too to rack up some miles. THAT'S MY LONGEST PRE-MINNIE RUN DONE  I couldn't have got this far without all you guys so thank you so so much

Woo Hoo for your 10-miler! At this point, it is hard for me to believe that I will get to that distance, but I am sure working at it!

I did a LW today!!

8.10miles, 1hr:59min:14sec (aprox 14:43pace)
Warmup and down .20miles and 5min

I'm off to ice. Take care warriors!

Another long one in the books! Way to go!

As for me, I really overcame a battle today. For the first time since I started this craziness :lmao: I really wanted to blow it off today. No real reason why--I feel fine, etc. I just wasn't into it...and I had a 60-minute run scheduled, which was DAUNTING, I tell ya. So I told myself that I at least had to get out there and do SOMETHING. I started bargaining with myself...I would see how I felt after 30 minutes, etc.

Well, I am back and I completed the WHOLE thing! The last 8 minutes were TOUGH (I turned a corner and was into the wind....ugh!), but I am really proud of myself for kicking my own tail out the door and putting one foot in front of the other.

Totals = 5.5 miles running and some ab work and stretching total 80 minutes.

Go Warriors!

Hi Warriors! Way to go on all the efforts put out there! Everyone is dong fantastic!!

Will report back tonight/tomorrow morning with some totals.

Have a great day!

Today 7.2 miles in 68 minutes.

Everyone is doing A-Ok!!!

Oops, I almost forgot to post! 2.55 miles, 40 minutes.

Have a great week Warriors!!!!!!

3disneykids: Great job hanging in there!! I do that sometimes, but I always seem to get it all done anyway!! I tend to think of all the other Wishers out there doing stuff for the team and it helps ALOT!!
GOOD JOB - you go girl!!!!:thumbsup2

Saturday I got in 2 miles in 28 min and on Sunday I did my LR of 8 miles in exactly 1:30. Was great weather for a run. I always find it funny how mile 7 is easier than mile 2. Maybe cause it is closer to the end?

Congrats to all on their long runs/walks!! Way to go Team!!

Becky

Becky

Becky- i always find mile 2 is the hardest no matter what distance i'm running. Maybe it's still warm up time?

Short run for me today- IN MY WISH SHIRT! Carrie- they came this morning and i love the length and colour and.... everything about them. I wore the long sleeve one cos it's still chilly. Actually i have only ever worn long sleeve outside so that's going to be weird at minnie. Today- 3.2 miles 27 mins.

The warrier reports flowing in are absolutely amazing so many great long and determined runs :worship:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I got outside this morning. :woohoo: :woohoo: Ok, so I ran outside Sunday too, but it was still overcast and chilly.... This morning was BEAUTIFUL.......... and I got to go in daylight. I had a lunch at DD's school, if you want to call it lunch at 10:45 in the morning :rotfl: so after putting her on the bus, I went for a run.... These were my first two runs outside in the new (and fitted for) sneakers... My calves feel it, but overall definitely good sneaks! I also did a pilates DVD last night, and plan on getting to it again tonight.... Didn't mean to ramble, just happy to be back doing something again!

Sorry for not indiviually shouting out - you are all doing FANTASTIC. Each day is a great day for being a Warrior! Keep up the good work!

Hi Warriors! Good job everyone. Everything counts, keep it going.

I was almost not going to do anything today, but thought of my obligation so did my duty. 5 mile TM, stretch afterward and 20 min Pilates. Going to call it a night now. Thanks to everyone for the motivation!

Tuesday night, 3 miles running in about 35 minutes.

Looking good, Warriors!
