Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Reporting in for the week. I really felt good this week and ramped things up:

Run - 29 miles 4:50
Walk - 10 miles 2:30
Elyptical - 12 miles 1:40

Total 51 miles 9 hours

Good afternoon Warriors!!

Here are my totals for today...
Warmup and down: .10miles 5min8sec.
Walk: 3.08miles 44min30sec. (14:27pace)

Well that's it for today, tomorrow will be a 6mile walk.

Have a great day Warriors... GO TEAM!!:cheer2:

Good job for the Warriors reporting!

My week looked like this:

242 minutes
includes 8.42 miles

I took a nice walk outside today and will report those miles for next week's total. While it was not fast as I had hoped, I'm ok with being out there and getting better. (I managed a 16 min pace for a bit over 6 miles.)Seems like I can TM faster, but when I was out in the muck it sure slowed me down a minute per mile. Oh well, as I said, I was OUTSIDE! It was cold 36 degrees but it was sunny.

Hey Warriors, Happy Sunday!!!!
Hope all the Atlanta INGers are doing well.

My totals for today:
Warmup & Down: .25miles, 15min8secs
LW (Longwalk): 6.05miles, 1hr 27min 20sec (14:25pace- good for the Minnie)

Think I need to not wear my NB902 for londer walks, I think the heel and the stap type thing that go around the back sit too low and I am getting a nice blister on my right heel. I have tried different socks and still not good. SO I think it is the shoes.

Lily: Good walk!! Thats great for getting back out there!!:thumbsup2 I do go faster on a TM than on the pavement, I think because you have to go the speed of the TM!! You don't have a choice unless you program it slower, haha. It was 67degrees when I got up to walk at 7am. There will be a high today of 83 with a chance of scattered showers. We still have the windows open for now, but that may not last for very much longer.

Getting excited about my upcoming trip to WDW in just 3 more days!!:yay: :woohoo: .

Take care everyone and have a great Warrior day!!

hi everyone, i forgot to report a 3 mile run yesterday outside which took 29 mins. I'm finding it really tough this week, my legs seem to ache as soon as i get outside! Hope this is normal!
Hope you have a great week

I got my 6 mile long walk in yesterday on the TM in 1 hour and 24 min. I find I go slower on the TM than outside. I absolutely cannot run on a TM.

Lily - Glad to see you are feeling better and getting the miles in! WTG!

Ken - WOW! That is alot of miles!!

Way to go Team!

Becky

...I'm finding it really tough this week, my legs seem to ache as soon as i get outside! Hope this is normal!
Hope you have a great week
Depends, does it go away after you've warmed up? Are you giving youself a break as in maybe every other day running or are you pounding away all the time? If it goes away after a bit of warmup it's probably not too bad. If it aches all the time during your w/o then I'd step back a bit and give yourself a break.

When I first started adding distance (I'm talking not much distance here as in the very beginning of life) I remember literally crawling out of the car wondering if I was truly nuts or ever going to get past that. Eventually it did get better, but for me it was like forever since I started this adventure at 54 y/o and quite out of shape.

Tracy, you are doing great there!

Good Morning Team!!

Hope all are well today. It is a cloudy, blustery day in St Augustine today.

Lazy Butt finally got moving this morning again. I actually Woke Up Early specifically so I could ride without the insane winds we have been having lately.

Unfortunately, the winds woke up EARLIER!!

I had an impromptu cycling partner for about 10 miles. A very nice guy pulled up next to me & we chatted & pedaled together for a little bit. It was kind of nice to actually train WITH someone for a while. I'm usually a "Solo Trainer" just due to my hectic life.

Anyway, after we split up (remembering that I have lived in this area for over 20 years) I decided to add a couple of miles by taking a little side trip off to the north.

Believe it or not, I got lost.

Not "Hansel & Gretal trail of bread crumbs lost", mind you, but enough to where I was wondering if the road I was on would ever take a turn to the south like I thought is would. Or should. Or at least HOPED. I finally came to a "T" in the road and Lo & Behold, I am at the Molasses Junction Country Store. ...................... Really.......................... That's what it's called. ................ Honest.

Ahaaaaaaaa! Now I know where I am. 6 miles north of where I want to be. Veeeeery nice. :( But at least I'll have the wind to my back while getting back where I SHOULD be.

Anywhooo, getting back on track and making the last turn back into town & battling the winds & a loose shifter lever, my total for this morning:

42.7 miles in 2:25.

Keep at it team! You guys are awesome & inspire me every day!!

WOW, Jim! What a ride! Glad we didn't have to send out a search party for you! :goodvibes

I logged 4.75 miles today and 60 minutes total, including the warm up and cool-down.

Enjoy the rest of the week-end!

Yesterday was a very busy day so I had to do my 6 miles today. I did them in 95 minutes, not burning up the road but moving along. I am feeling stronger by the day. Four weeks until the Country Music half marathon and I am feeling confident.

I may be old but I won't let it defeat me!!!! Go Warriors!!!!!!

Hey Warriors!

I did 5 miles total on Saturday pushing Harry. I walked the first 1/2 mile and last 1/2 mile, and ran the other 4. My time total was probably a little over an hour. It was a beautiful day, with the morning temp in the 60s.

Then Harry and I went to the Swamp Park- just the two of us. They have alligators, snakes, otters, turtles, bears, and deer. We looked at everything, and Harry mostly said "Ewww..." to all the scary creatures, then we took the train ride. Finally we wandered back through the animals and left. Did I mention it was now 86 degrees?

Finally, Emma wanted to play tennis. Our street has been repaved, and we have very little traffic, so we hit the ball for an hour outside our house (until the only balls we had rolled way into the azaleas and I refused to crawl in after them!)

So that was it. Today's been a lazy one.

So impressed with everyone's miles/time and can't wait to hear more ING Atlanta reports!

Great job everyone!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I was lazy Thurs, Fri, Sat... actually, we were keeping my nephew Fri and Sat...

On Sunday, I had my longest workout yet! 6 miles! (total time 1 hr, 34 min). It was good. Challenging, but good!

Hope everyone has a great week. I hope to get in more this week last week. Tonight, I'm hoping for the elliptical for a good 40 min and also hope to get back to aquacise too!

Good morning team! Yesterday I did intervals on the rowing machine for 10 minutes followed by 50 minutes of strength training - mostly legs but a bit of arms as well. It was the first time I have gotten to work with my trainer since before Easter and boy did it show! Tonight I am getting my body fat measured :scared1:. They do the water displacement test which is supposed to be quite accurate. In any case - it will NOT be pretty! I'll report the ugly results tomorrow. Have a great day everyone!

Hi all! Forgive me. I was sure I would catch up theis weekned. After teh CHi class Saturday, I was left sore and really down. Long story that I will post a thread on later. Sunday, I had teh start of a migraine adn was really, really sore from my 5-miler. Plus, still down from teh Chi class and didn't feel like WISHing. I'm over that now, but won't be able to update until tonight. Sorry I've been such a slacker. :guilty:

Carrie- don't worry about it! You're so not a slacker! Hope your head feels better and sorry you're Chi clinic wasn't great-

Susan- Fat test? Brave, brave girl! You don't look like you have anything to worry about, but still sounds scary!

Stacie- you go, girl! I always loved hitting new long distances! That's a fast pace too!

Really have to stop procrastinating now. Keep up the good work, team!

Quick fly by as am off to the pub in a bit. I promise to get back to giant posts asap!

Ran 6.5miles of speed intervals on treadmill for 60mins. Happy running oh inspiring ones!!!

3.80 miles in 60 minutes.

Carrie, I was going to do a Chi class with Danny when he was in Boston but he cancelled it. The next one is the weekend we are in Nashville. :-( I really want to take the class to help me pick up my pace.

I finally made it back to the gym today. I did 2.26 miles in 40 minutes. XT tomorrow. Maybe I should ride the bike to get extra miles. ;)

Yesterday was XT for me. 40 min was on tap. I had to MAKE myself go to gym, but it paid off. I did 40 min on the elliptical. 1.8 miles...That's really slow according to my pace when I walk/run, but it was a really good workout. Then, I decided to hop on the bike for a leisurely 30 min and got in 8.2 miles. The shins were really aching and are still a bit sore today. Actually, I'm pretty stiff all over today, but I feel good knowing I got in a good workout.

Total w/ stretching and all... 10 miles, 80 min.
