Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hey team!

Managed a spontaneous 2 mile walk with a friend last night in about 34 minutes. We walked around the block over and over while our girls were in Scouts. My friend walks the same route during lunch each day and wanted to know her mileage- I brought along my Garmin, and now she is having major envy. ;) (And yes, I keep my Garmin in the car at all times, which might explain why I tend to have low battery issues...)

Hey Warriors! I got in another 3 miles this am in 41 min walking on the TM.

Roxy - Hope you are healed soon!

Rhonda - Glad to have you here!

Tracy - What do you do at the ortho office? I was an ortho asst for 9 years, but after my 2nd DD was born I am now strictly a SAHM. I lived in Ft Lauderdale for awhile and worked for an orthodontist there who had another office in Lighthouse Point. I think that's not too far from you?

Erika - great job on the 5 miles!

Susan - Welcome back!

Becky

Becky- I am a Orthodontic Assistant and have been for about 15years. My current job (for the last 11years) is in Weston, FL. I am also a Licensed Dental Hygienist. Kinda close the Lighthouse Point but on the other side. Weston is as west as you can get before landing in the Everglades, it runs just south of Alligator Alley (or I75 west).

Sorry for the non-team discussion, but now you all know what I do for a living.

I love the job and we have a great time!!
:cool1: :cool2:

Tracy, sorry I was going off the pembroke pines in your location. I thought that was right near Lighthouse point. I loved being an assistant too. I miss it, but I am sure I will be back one day. (My baby is only 2).

Hello Team!!

I am spending this week in a high-angle rope rescue class for work. Translated: I am hanging off of the side of buildings flopping around like a fish on the end of a hook. Hopefully I'll have a couple of pics to post soon.

Fun Times!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

But 12 hour class days and not that much work out time.

I have managed to run during lunch. Total for the last 2 days: 8.4 miles total in 74 minutes.

Probably not much in the next 2 days, but we'll see what happens. We are going to play off of the roof & sides of a 7 story building for the next 2 days,so probably there will be no time, but I should be back on track this weekend!

Thanks for the kind words - they are most appreciated and I will try to be more worthy of them in the future!

Great trip to the dentist today. No problems and even great improvement over last visit. Hygienest attributes improvement to using a Sonicare toothbrush for the last 4 months or so. Yay!! Do have to get a nightguard and that is $500 I'd rather spend elsewhere but oh well.

Gym time on the schedule for tomorrow. Can't decide whether it will be T/M time or yoga/pilates class but I will get there and report back tomorrow.

JimB - your rescue class sounds scary but exciting too! Stay safe and count that as some x/t!!

Hey lovely warriers,

Rhonda, warriers aren't judgemental, we're ready to support you and cheer for all your progress- it's just lovely to have you back!

Roxy- so sorry about the delay in gettin back to action and you missing out on 10k, but hopefully it'l all be worth it in the long run. We're not even thinkin about your miles, just your recovery! Hope it's not feelin too bad.

This morning i've been to the gym and did 15km (9.3miles) in 90 mins- that's minnie distance wahoo. Had to have a break to reset the treadmill (only goes to 60mins!) but other than that straight running!!!

So add stretch time and cool down time= 9.5miles 105mins

Yesterday was my scheduled 4 mile run. I actually walked the majority...I just had no energy. My mom and I went to this 1/2 mile track around a soccer field. This woman is 63 and can walk circles around me!!! I always feel so out of shape and slow around here. She is just a bundle of energy. She actually walks faster than I run. Go figure... Anyway... We did it together. Eventhough a lof of it was walking, we were really moving. At least with her I walk faster than when I do it alone. Many times during my runs I'll take walk breaks and they are pretty slow. Not yesterday! Our average pace was 14:43 and HR was a bit lower at 169 bpm. I'm am happy with that. I get done w/ the 4 miles... I'm tired, red-faced, stinky and my mom looks great! Not fair... Overall, I'm pleased though!

So... 4.2 miles total and 1 hr 5 min total...

Hope everyone has a great day today!!!
Stacie

Weds. was a rest day for me, but I did a 25-minute low-impact work-out and today was a 45 minute run plus weight training...

So total for 2 days....

4.75 miles 95 minutes

Keep going everyone! Spring is SLOWLY but SURELY coming to the Northeast! :goodvibes

Hi all, quick fly by...
So far this week:
140 minutes/12 miles

I'm looking to get on the exercise bike tonight during survivor....

Great day everyone - weekend is almost here!

I know i'm not going to be doing any runs tomorrow so my total for this week was 22.5 miles (as run counted for double) and 182 mins

You guys are really going strong, wahoo!

Good job everyone. I've got to get in my steps later tonight. Ugh, I don't like that, but it was a disrupted day so I could not get them in earlier.

Stacie, good job with your training partner there. You two should go out more often.

Jim, when you're hanging around out there I'm thinking some of that just has to be XT!

Kate, you are flying! I do WISH that you'll be sticking around after your Minnie event for our team pic. You will be well rested and very photogenic by the time I get there.

Rhonda, glad you're back!

Good evening Warriors!!!
I did some walking at a new park tonight...

Warmup and down: .22miles, 13min12sec

Made it to the gym this morning and was just in time for the yoga class so that was my choice for today. So put me down for 60 minutes.

No time for the gym tomorrow as have a pre-enrollment meeting for ds tomorrow and the kids are then out of school by noon and then we have schoolwork and naps. I am planning for an outside run this weekend so I'll report back then.

WISHing everyone a great Friday!!
