Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hey kids!

Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend.

Here's my numbers:

Friday, walk 2 miles in 32 minutes.

Saturday, W/R 5 miles in about 70 minutes. I did this with my mom who is training for the Half. It was hysterical- first I had to outfit her because she didn't have anything remotely comfortable for running. Then I had to stagger our running portions so she didn't over do it her first day running. She cracked me up- you know how you can be euphoric and whiny at the same time?! Oh yeah- "why are we stopping now? I can keep going" followed immediately by "my foot hurts, I'll be swept for sure." It was cracking me up- how many times have we experienced the mood swings?!;) Then we ended our outing at a coffee shop where we had coffee and biscottis, but you know, baby steps...

Sunday, walked 8.5 miles in probably 2.5 hours. I walked 3 with DH and Emma and Harry. Harry finally fell asleep at the end of the 3. I dropped DH and Emma off with his relatives who were visiting. I didn't want to risk an awake, cranky baby so I kept pushing him. After another 5.5 miles he finally woke up, which was good since I was getting a little tired! But, I was pleased because I wanted to be able to add a bit more to the team total!

Way too much information, sorry!;)

Kate- your race sounds great! Good job!

Carrie- glad you're well!

Tracy- happy belated birthday!

Hey WW's! Great job everyone.

for me:
Saturday, 20 minutes, 6 miles on exercise bike
Monday, 60 minutes, 3.4 miles walk

Have a great day team!

Hi all--great numbers coming in! Congrats, Kate, on the race. And Carrie--woo-hoo!

I took Easter off (had my long run on Saturday) and came back with a short run plus strength training today. 3.5 miles and 65 minutes total with strength training.

Hi Warriors! Today I did 4 miles in 63 minutes.

I'm glad you're feeling better Carrie. Good job everyone!

Happy Monday!

Unfortunately, I was as ambitious as a lump of coal & did abso-freakin-lutely nothing today.

Sorry team..................:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

But I plan on doing "lunch runs" the next few days in the middle of a class I have to take the rest of the week. Hopefully, it will be a more productive week from here on out.

But I do not foresee using the bike. It is JUST so freakin' windy right now!!

On a happier note, I DID get my boat to the boat doctor today without wrecking myself, the boat or anyone else. I slap-a**ed flunked trailer towing in college, so this was a major accomplishment. Now. Hopefully the bill will not be TOO painful.

Good Morning Warriors!!!

For me... I did 40 min on the elliptical last night...2.6 miles! yay! It's crazy how the mind works. With in 3-5 min (1 song) I can go from happy, to sad, to hopeless, to kicking hiney, to why did I sign up for the Minnie, then to visualizing crossing the finish line, no energy, to plenty of energy.... CRAZY!! It's so hard for me to stay focused, I feel like my emotions area all over the place during my runs/workouts. I felt good after I finished! Any workout is good when I don't feel dead after! I'm not losing any weight, but...I know I am healthier. A few years ago, heck, a few months ago, 40 min on the elliptical would have been impossible! I remember when it was a struggle to just get 10. I actually probably could have gone a bit longer, but 40 min was on the schedule for XT (plus I had errands to run) so that's what I did.

Ok...now, someone give me a virtual pat on the back! I packed my lunch today!!! First time in months! I'm having lasagna and 3 garlic knots for lunch. We are trying to be more budget conscious so I went grocercy shopping (actually I did it online and then just picked it up! Well worth the $6 fee!!!) and bought some frozen lunches and some stuff for sandwiches and all. Let's hope this will get me through two weeks! I also hope this will help eat a bit healthier. I've done well cutting out the soda...now to tackle the sweets!

Ok folks...all for now! Wow, that was much longer than planned. Guess I'm a bit chatty today!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!
Stacie

JimB- What a slacker. :rotfl: I think you deserve a day of rest!

Stacie- you go, girl! Your mood swings during the workout made me laugh. I'm the same way. Whenever I want to stop, I always, always use the visualize yourself at a Disney race thing. I laugh at myself because I feel like such a dork, but it works! Good job bringing your lunch. I'm afraid I've had two breakfasts already, but I've been up four hours, so maybe it balances out. ;) We've been trying to eat most of our lunches at home, but it's only about 1 mile to home from the office (advantage of a small town; disadvantage: I'm totally jealous of your grocery pick up thing!)

Hey warriers, first off thank you all for your encouragement!

Tracy- you're doing brilliantly, a 5 mile walk is certainly a long walk! Wahoo

Jim- i def think a rest day is fine, you put in 9.4 miles a couple of days ago and everyone has their off days!

Stacie- i'm amazed how consistently you exercise and manage to get yourself doing stuff. Totally agree with the mood changes- i always find i feel like giving up during mile2- but things usually pick up by 3! Way to go!

Carrie- I'm so so pleased your feelin better and did 8 miles!!! At a pace you were happy with must have been great then!

Becky- how can two lots of exercise be lazy?!!? Keep it up, you're doing fab and everyone deserves a break for easter popcorn::

Jen- that's lovely that you can train with your mum. Sounds like an outing with my elder sister tho! You've done some hefty distances so i hope you're very proud of yourself.

Stacey- good job on the cross training- def warrier material!

3disneykids (I've lost your name again so sorry :headache: ) that's a great workout, 3.5m and weights- great job

Barb- 4 miles in 63mins is great- wahoo!

Just in from a 3mile run 28mins and cool 5mins total 33mins. It was hard work, my thighs felt like they cried the whole way round! :rotfl: Heading back to the TM on thurs for some warm training, it's still freezing and makes my head hurt

Take care guys

2 hours strength training yesterday.

My stitches come out in two hours. I cannot wait to go run.:cool1:

Well, here I am - hanging my head in shame. I was lucky enough to get a spot in this group and yet I haven't been here to check in at all. I am so sorry and will do better from here on out I promise.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow (please please let there be no problems!!) so my yoga class is out but I am planning to get in gym time on Thursday.

Great to see everyone here working so hard and I am determined to contribute albeit so very late!

Rhonda - Good to see you! ALways better late than never!!!

Roxy - :grouphug: Sorry about teh delay. Don't worry about us, you are usually a MAJOR ocntributor adn now you need to take care of yourself. That is priority 1!

Sorry, rough week. Awful 40 min run Monday adn I was too dead to get to teh computer and update. Last night was m ylate yoga night. TO ight is a rest day, so that means I'll pay bills ane then do updates. Thansk fro your patience!

Good Morning Warriors!! I did my walk this morning just like I said I would. It was a great morning here in Southern Florida. Temp was 67degrees with a bit of a breeze. This is supposed to be our last bit of a taste of cool weather before summer. I am enjoying every bit of it.!

Jim: Hope the boat is doing ok and hope your back putting in the miles and time! haha.

Stacie: I also will have mood swings while doing my walks sometimes. My mind will wonder and then I have to stop myself and get back into form, posture, arm swing etc. That is actually one of the reasons I like to walk, its time for me and time to work out somethings that might be floating around in my head!:) Thanks for the skirt info, not sure I am ready for the skirt thing. My legs and knees are not all that great looking and I would probably want the one with the compression shorts due to legs rubbing.

Roxy: Hey girl, don't get down. You'll get there soon enough. Keep it cool and when the time comes you'll be SOOOOO ready. Sorry about the 10K.:sad2:

Panthergirl: Looks like you were busy...Hope you had a good time in Orlando!

akasleepingbeauty: I hope everything went ok at the Dentist ( I work for an Orthodontist ). I'm sure you can get back on track and us Warriors will stick together!!

Here are my totals for today:
Warmup and down: .26mile 15min 4sec
Walk: 3miles, 43min 20 sec

Have a good one.!!
