1/2Marathonpixie Barb, WTG on the WAP. Keep it going!

TXBELLE Co Captain, Heather, good job! Don’t you just LOVE the elliptical! :sarcastic:

TINK 06, Stacey, you are doing a great job. I’m so happy that your DD is doing it too! I know that has to mean a lot. You are such a great role model.

WTPCLC Captain, Carrie, I love your thinking! Good job on the Yoga and carb loading today! Enjoy.

JIM B, Jim, Good job getting out there and enjoying the day! It sure makes it easy when it’s fun. Fantastic time by my standards. Eek on the crazy driver thing though. Oooh and weight training too. You go! Great job on the bike ride today too.

SMILEYK8, Kate, amazing you are for getting out in that mess. I hear ya on those night shifts. Hang in there with that.

ROXY, Roxanne, you take care of yourself. Doing upper body will be a good way to keep at it. Do what you can, we’ll get you through the rest. Will be sending PD and prayers that it all goes smoothly. Check in as soon as you can. I’ll be pacing until I hear from you. Good job getting in your w/o before your surgery. It will help you recover better. (At least that’s what my medical team thinks and tells me so I’m sure it applies to you too)

DSNYFAN21, Tracy, Whew! On your timing. Good job getting those steps in just in time.

3DISNEYKIDS, Great job today. I guess rest days really help.

I have yet to do anything. It was a full day for me with trip to doc and blood-letting and such (annual physical). I still hope to be putting in a few steps, but I’m not sure I can get to the TM…DS is occupying that space right now and I don’t want to disturb him. He’s had a rough work week and I know I can use the TM tomorrow during the day if it comes to that.

I didn't get to do my miles until 9:30pm because a friend from a site I used to belong to called. It would have been easy to not do it but I didn't want to let the team down. I love the guilt motivation!!!

I was pretty tired but i got in 2.70 miles in 46 minutes.

What a team!!!!!!

Hey team!

I'm finally reporting 2 miles in 23 minutes for both Saturday and Sunday. I took Monday off (habit!)

Tuesday DD woke up feeling kind of yuck. I told her to go take a shower to make her feel better and she walked straight into a wall and sort of passed out. :scared1: I took her to the doctor, and turns out she has the flu. It was kind of lucky she freaked me out so much with her weird fainting spell because her only other symptom was a very low fever- I would have probably sent her to school! Anyway, more fever and whining for two days. Now she's well and back at school, and of course, the little one has it. I've missed four days of work, stuff is piling up everywhere on my desk, and Harry, the Noisy Destroyer, is with me at the office. Oh, and I know I'll be next with the flu, so I feel like I'm living on borrowed time...

Hey, looks like I caught my kids' whining! Sorry about that!

So, no working out for me, but on the bright side, since I was stuck at home for two days, my house is actually pretty clean!

Oh, and for those of you who remember, snow day was fun. I'll try to post pictures later. The downside of snowday was that my DD caught a ride home with one of my friends and two other kids. Yep, one of the other kids had the flu and ALL of the fellow passengers in the car caught it...

Jen in GA

Busy day. Just wanted to report that I had an awesome 60 min run last night!

Hey Gang!

Real quick pop-in.... Wednesday/Thursday were rest days for me.... I'm going out to dinner with friends tonight, but even if I only stretch do some crunches when I get home, I plan on getting at least 30 minutes in....

Also wanted to let you know that Jeff (GrumyinNY) has been running on a regular basis too. We've had computer issues at home - it crashed :scared1: , and that's his only place to post. we currently have internet access again from a very old computer.... I will make sure his weekly total gets posted this weekend along with mine...

Everyone is doing a great job!

Carrie - way to go on the awesome run last night!

Lilly - continue to listen to your body, and only do what you feel you are up to! We want you to stay healthy!!!

Jen in GA - sooo sorry to hear about the flu going around, and how scary about DD fainting - I would have freaked for sure! Glad everyone is moving towards feeling better, and I'll keep fingers crossed that you just won't get it!

1/2Marathonpixie - Way to go on getting it in even if it was late! I'm actually enjoying the guilt reason to get me moving too.

Tracy - good timing on your part, congrats on getting it in.

Roxy - Whoo Hoo on your workout!!!!!!!!!

Jim - you're awesome - great job!!

If I missed you, I'm sorry..... gotta get back to work now :guilty:

Have a great Friday Warriors!!! :cheer2:

Hey Everyone!! Dave just assigned me to be on your team! Let's see, my name is Becky, I'm 29, I am originally from MA and just moved to SC in sept. I am married (10 years!) and have 2 sweet little girls aged 7 and 2. I just started to run/walk/jog in march of 07 and I pretty much only do disney races. I ran the goofy in january and have signed up again for it. Currently I am training for the minnie. Not sure how much info I should give so I will stop there for now. I will add up my weekly total and hours and post later today after I pick up my DH from the airport. (He still works in MA during the week and flies down every weekend).

Great to be on the team and look forward to getting to know you all!!

Becky

Welcome Lexxifern:cheer2:!!!

Jen in Ga: Sorry to hear about the FLU going around:sick: , hope all feel better soon!:)

Well, I woke up to thunderstorms, lightening and a tornado watch. So, I stayed in bed for awhile under my sheets watching some weird movie on TNT. Kept checkin on the Westher Channel to see what was up. Got up, fed the dog, got on my walking clothes and shoes and hung out watching the satellite. It soon passed and out I went!! Mostly cloudy, overcast and WINDY!!
(you see, I don't have a TM so I HAVE to go outside!)This morning at wake up it was 76 and now its 71. I guess its going to cool down a bit.
Anyway, sorry for the babble.

warmup and down: 2min
walking: 4miles, 56min:12sec
streching: 8min

Take care all Warriors!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--hoping to do the Minnie--

1/2Marathonpixie, Barb – good for you getting in those steps even if it was later. Thanks for doing that! Wow! On your weekly total.

HOOSMI, Jen – PD that you stay healthy. Sorry you are dealing with sick kidlets and work piling up on that desk at work. Yay! for clean house though even that you were dealing with sicklets. I can’t wait to see your snow pics. I’m tired of looking at our snow here.

WTPCLC Captain, Carrie – glad you got a good 60 minutes in even that you are so busy.

TINK 06, Stacey – sorry about those computer issues. Doncha just hate that. I hope you enjoyed your time with friends. Good for you trying to get in a w/o even after being so busy. You rock!

SMILEYK8, Kate – Kate, Kate, Kate, no cool down. Ouch is all I can say. What a pace you’ve got there though. Wow! Your being out there in that wind and running that pace breathless is amazing.

3DisneyKids – good job with your w/o and great pace too.

GRUMPY IN NY, Jeff – Glad to see you’ve got a computer to get your report in. Good job with your trek.

ROXY, Roxanne – Your report is great! Hope your foot is feeling ok as you go through your routine.

LEXXIEFERN. Becky - :welcome: Glad to have you on our team.

COBBLER - :welcome: Glad to have you on our team.

DSNYFAN21, Tracy – Great job getting out there between the lightening strikes. I don’t think I’d like having to worry about that as much.

We had Thunder snow this morning! We’ve currently got a foot and a half and more still falling. No one is supposed to be out in it unless you work in an emergency field. Some towns are ticketing those who are on the roads. It is a mess. I took off the last 3 days from doing anything since my tummy seemed a bit uncomfortable. I figured to err on the side of caution. I think it is better right now so today I’ll start counting for the totals next week.

My weekly total:
110 minutes and 6.55 miles!
