Walt's trailer

I remember a past episode of the podcast when Kevin mentioned that Walt had a trailer when he was purchasing land and that the trailer is still on Disney property. I told my friend about it who used to be a castmember, but he does not believe me. Can anyone remember where the trailer was located or which episode it was discussed on? Thanks!

I don't know for sure if this is the correct episode, but according to the DIS Unplugged Podcast Log (which you can find on http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/) they discussed Walt & Lillian's WDW home on the 10/9/2007 show. Maybe it was in there somewhere?

The area where the trailer is located is no longer accessible without Cast ID. We tried recently.

The road is across from the NASCAR track as you exit the Magic Kingdom parkking area. I think it's Bear Lake Road that takes you back there.

At one time, John was a Cast Member with full access to all areas. He has taken me back to see it.

It's pretty nondescript, but cool all the same.

I just took a look at Mapquest, it looks like it may be Bear Island Rd. It shows Gate (Key Access) along that road across from the Richard Petty's track.

Thats it....Bear Island Road.....not Bear Lake Road.

I was just peeking on Google Earth and I did find Bear Island Road. There are a lot of service buildings back there, maybe the trailer is in one of those compounds?
