Happy Thursday Warriors!!
The heat down here has FINALLY broken. At least for a few days. I'm sure some more hot spells will be coming in the next few weeks. I was able to get in 6.3 miles yesterday on the way home from work across the tallest bridge in town (that's what we call hills over here.............
) at a pretty decent pace. My conditioning is still off, but maybe I can get some longer runs & some interval work in. I seem to remember that I DO have 2 1/2's and a full marathon coming up in the next few weeks.
Got a 42 mile bike ride in today. Biggest problem with long rides is the acute onset of large amounts of boredom. And not fueling enough. Or drinking enough. And stark terror when the really big trucks come just a shade too close. Just an obstacle to be overcome, I guess.....
Still trying to shed about 10 pounds (without losing any muscle). I'm 6'1" & I want to get down to about 183ish (Kate, that's lbs, not kg
). Easier said than done. I figure that's the easiest way to ease the load on the road.....
Ya'll are rockin' the house!! Nice work on the ToT Amanda!

Today was a 60 miler with 28mph pulls. These guys I ride with are crazy. Might be heading to San Antonio, Fl. on Sunday for 60 miles of hill riding. Kathy says go but my legs say no.
Will be 2 weeks from the 70.3 and right now there is a really, really bad red tide bloom in Venice.

amazing, inspiring and hard working, but yes crazy too!
We were away for the weekend so I managed 6.54 miles on muddy but beautiful trails. We found a local hotel with a room so we're there for now as it is 49F inside our dark house.
