I have to tell you that Stitch is undoubtedly the worst attraction I have ever seen! Even my kids thought it sucked (their words). Does anyone else feel that way?

It is okay. Not the worst ever or the best, just okay. I personally think spaceship earth is the most boring ride I have ever been on in my life. It is nap time for me.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is too funny! I was feeling crummy after our lunch at San Angel Inn and my hip was bothering me from the cold. DH's suggestion: let's ride Spaceship Earth and you can take a nap! We love SE, have to ride it at least twice each trip. I remembrer it used to be the perfect ride to calm our little ones down. Only thing is it has such a monotonous rhythm (constant jerking and bumping) that I came out of there with a headache on top of everything else!
Stitch was just such a let down after all of the hype. The girls came out with a was that all look on their faces. At least none of the kids in there seemed frightened, wounder if they have toned it down from the opening?

Hey man, leave Spaceship Earth alone!! It is a classic, Disney animatronic ride...one of my favorites. As far as Stitch, I don't think it's bad or good, it was just "eh...so, so". The animatronics are great, but the story is a little boring. I liked Alien Encounter better, at least it was a little scary.

I love looking at spaceship earth and I can't imagine Epcot without it. I just think it is the perfect ride for rest time.

SE rocks! (Well maybe not rocks, but rolls...slowly) I like it, it's classic. Stitch is okay, not great but fun to see once per trip. I wouldn't wait in a long line to see it though. :wave2:

My 11 yo son thought Stitch was the second best attraction in WDW next to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. My older son and DH both said it was fun, too. I guess it just depends on the person, but our family liked it.

We too thought Stitch was one of the worst additions added to WDW, while we thought "turtle talk" was one of the best additions and so little attention has been paid to this one. A must see at the Living Seas at EPCOT!!!

I think one reason people come out of Stitch with a look like, "Is that all?" is because there's not a real clear ending to it. Stitch escapes, and you see a few pictures of him around the Magic Kingdom, and then the characters just say, "Well, I guess we could let the recruits go..." and that's the end. Not a real good or clear ending. Maybe something like "Send the recruits out to find Stitch!" would be better, or have Stitch reappear and taunt the recruits to come out and try to find him in Magic Kingdom....? I dunno, but just seems like a lame ending I guess. And a lot of people said the same thing about Mission: Space, where they were expecting an ending to the story, not just hanging off the cliff and stabilizing, hehe. That just seems like an abrupt, out of the blue ending to a lot of people too. I think maybe just some of this stuff could be thought out a little more or something, and it would be fine. I guess I'm rambling on too long, sorry, hehe.

I also liked it better when it was Alien Encounter.

When I was there five years ago, there was a kid who was pretty scared the entire time. Well, his luck, when the ride was over, his harness did not go up.
The kid was screaming his head off. They had to get a couple of CM's to get it up and then calm him down.

Poor kid...

For some reason the Stitch ride doesn't even entice me enough to want to try it. I guess I'm not a big enough Stitch fan to begin with but some of the reviews I've been reading makes me believe I'm not missing much. JMO.

My DD's (11) absolute favorite ride is SE. DS's (9) favorite is Tower of Terror. DS's (7) favorite is ride is the sky cabs that go around future world in MK. Thank goodness for the diviersity of WDW. :earboy2:

After this trip my family has a new favorite, Tower of Terror. It took four trips in one year to talk DDs into riding it. On Friday (1st MGM day) upon arrival DD7 decided that she had to visit the ladies room first to prepare her for it, no accidents for her, hee hee . The apprehensive look on both of their faces as we approached the hotel at a fast pace (no line whatsoever!) added to the fun. Upon boarding the car she was holding on for dear life. The grin on her face at the end was priceless! We all ran back around and rode it again on the spot, making ourselves late for our PS at Sci Fi. WE rode again that afternoon, then again on Saturday, waiting in line that time. Now we can't wait to go back. We also love SE, the TTA, Buzz, Great Movie Ride and Splash and Big Thunder Mountain. Maybe this trip I can convince them to try RNR & Space Mtn!

I wasn't crazy about Stitch, either. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. I hated Alien Encounter!

But Spaceship Earth is a classic, one of my favorites!

its always good to read a negative comment...now heres a positive one...I thought Stitch was awesome!!! :)

We didn't do Stitch so I can't compare, but I have to say the worst ride I've ever been on anywhere is Malestrom in Norway at Epcot. That ride REALLY needs a refurbish!

I must admit to not being very impressed with Stitch's Great Escape either. I knew it was in the old Alien Encounter site, but nothing else.....and when I got in and saw the EXACT SAME circular seating arrangement left over from AE, I was flabbergasted! Come on, Disney, at least build a whole new interior set, not just a tired old retread! It reminded me of Kramer buying the old Merv Griffin Show set and reassembling it in his apartment.....

Anyway, my DS6 found it a little scary -- he wouldn't admit it, but I could tell. And he's a HUGE Stitch fan too.

Needless to say, we got on it once.....the entire week. Give us Buzz Lightyear anytime!

My husband absolutly hated stitch, I personally did not like it, but do not think it was the most absolutly aweful ride/attraction at Disney World (that goes to Alien Encounter that scared the living daylight out of me). There is no clear cut ending yes, but the worst part is that how they advertise it, and what it actually is are two very different things.

I don't have children, but have worked at an amusement park in the past, working with kids is part of the job. Stitch is a Disney character, its like selling a scary dark ride with Mickey Mouse (ok not quite that but you get the idea). They sell stitch plush, he is this semi-lovable character, and they get kids all hyped up on the Stitch part, and then completely destroy the idea with a scary, dark, ride that little kids do not understand. It scared me a little and I am 27 years old. When I rode it kids where crying, screaming and from what I heard running around trying to get out! If Disney wants a scary 12 years old and up attraction bring back Alien Encounter, you knew what you where getting, Aliens, scary stuff. But don't try to pawn the same thing off, as a lovable, family oriented ride.

I agree Disney would be turning in his grave...

Time is precious in WDW, and Stitch was a total waste of time. That's the worst thing I can say about an attraction.

But I LOVE SE. History, the future, a dark ride, and no wait. Perfect.

Stitch's Great Escape suffers the biggest no-no in show business, boring your audience. The day we went there were kids, no one was scared at all. We were just bored by it all, and it ended so abruptly too. I really enjoyed AE, it was something totally different and not for everyone. Too bad, Stitch is a great character...he deserved so much better.

BTW, I'm not sure cremated remains can really roll around in a grave. :rotfl:
