I didn't even think to text and ask them that, thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks @Dave006! We'll just leave it--didn't really think it mattered but good to know it should auto update at some point@elvispursley you don't really need to update MDE since Disney does not differentiate between the Dolphin or Swan or Swan Reserve. It however should update when the Marriott system sends the updated reservation information to Disney overnight / early AM tomorrow.
If you would feel more comfortable you could always calls the resort directly and have an agent push the reservation update to MDE backend system.

Also, if you’re not already aware, there has been a problem in the past with reservations from S/D dropping off of MDE. It’s always a good idea to check a couple of days before ADRs and, now, LLMP day to make sure you don’t need to relink. Thanks @Dave006! I am happy to report this didn't happen to me for the first time when I was there end of June! Also, if you’re not already aware, there has been a problem in the past with reservations from S/D dropping off of MDE. I had a situation where I modified the nights but kept the same reservation number. This never updated properly on MDE due to some incompatibility between the Bonvoy and Disney IT. I had to call the Swan directly and luckily got someone on the phone who knew what to do. This couldn’t get resolved on the Disney side.Does anyone have any experience with a scenario like my current situation?: A few months ago, I made a reservation at Swan Reserve and linked to MDE. Today I modified the reservation and added 2 more nights. Does Marriott send updates to Disney so that will automatically update in MDE, or will I need to do something special. As far as I know, I won't be able to re-link, and besides, the information in Disney's system is per whatever reservation info Marriott sends them, so I am assuming changes get sent over to Disney within 48 hours just as new reservations do?
I kind of figured they would need to push a manual update to Disney's system. I think I had this happen once before and I was able to just rebook the reservation at the same price with a new reservation # and just delete out the previous one, but now that Marriott has instituted dynamic pricing, the price went up immediately after I added nights to my booking.@kmsprincess as @Disneydawg74 mentioned calling S/D is the solution. Best to call the local number during the day, if you get the Bonvoy call center call back ask for in-house reservations - they seem to be the most knowledgeable in understanding what needs to be done to fix the issue. That said often waiting a couple days the issue gets resolved. My take on it all is that it's a manual process for S/D to communicate with the Disney system.
I was hoping this little glitch had been fixed. They do have a work around of some sort. I think they had to get me a new reservation number and I can’t remember if the price had gone up but they should be able to manage booking it at your current price. As @SteveH says, do call and speak to in-house reservations at the Swan. The number I have is 407-934-4000. Wait to speak to a person at the front desk and get to their in house reservations. Don’t let them send to Bonvoy and don’t choose reservations from the menu as I think that kicks you back to Bonvoy, where they don’t know what to do.I kind of figured they would need to push a manual update to Disney's system. If it is like the pullouts at the S/D, it should be great I personally have not slept on one but have read here in this and previous S/D threads how comfortable they are. Not a Heavenly Bed, but very good reports.Has anyone slept on the pull out couch in the Signature Suite at the Swan Reserve?
I'm coming with my mom in January for the marathon and want to sleep on the pull out couch the night before since I'll be waking up around 2am to get ready and go. Is it like a pull out couch in most DVC rooms where it's more of a bed mattress vs a folded up, thin couch mattress? I wouldn't even care if I weren't running the next day.
The locker rooms includes showers as per the Health Club FAQ.Our flights on our check out day aren't until 6:00 pm. I understand check out at the Swan is at 11:00 am. We'd like to use the pools that day, but will want to shower before heading to the airport. I can't recall if there are real showers near the pools or if there is a shower area in the fitness center that we can use. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks!
Looks like it according to this - https://swandolphin.com/feedback/health/Our flights on our check out day aren't until 6:00 pm. I understand check out at the Swan is at 11:00 am. That's great!!! Wonderful news. Good research you did there. Enjoy that family vacation.Info for anyone interested - I found out about the $90/night alcove upgrade from this forum but what I didn't know is you can also do a $200/night upgrade to get the alcove room + a connecting room. We just changed our reservation for the 3rd time (bless the in house reservations team - they've been great) to a points booking (5 nights so 5th night free) 28,600 points/night + $200/night (upgrade cost) + $45/night (resort fee).
We started out as two separate points booking, then did the $90/night upgrade, but that left both rooms paying the resort fee. With the above only one resort fee is charged.
I've crunched the numbers and we are getting about $.005/point which is on the low end of average for Marriott but I'm points rich and we are trying to do this trip on a budget. I'm eligible for the passholder rate & the AAA rate which hurts my cost per point. If you don't have access to these rates the points + cash upgrade becomes much more lucrative. We will have 6 adults and 2 kids with no extra adult fees charged.
We've tacked on 2 rooms for 1 night at the end that I booked with my CapOne travel credit and there was no availability so we will have to switch rooms for our last night but it's not the end of the world. (That cost is not included in the calcs here)
Cheers!
