Walt Disney World Launches NEW Website

How are you accessing the new site? It just gives me the old site. I don't see any link to the new one??

It should be at the very top of the page. Looks like this:

Hmmm, I don't have that on mine. Weird! I wonder if it's bc I'm on my iPad?? I will have to try it on the computer later. Thanks for posting a picture of the link. At least now i know I'm not crazy.

disneyworld.com hasn't opened for me for a while.

Have you tried opening it in a different browser? Because half the time it won't open in google chrome but it will in Firefox.

I wonder the same thing, may try it on the desktop later

It's not on mine either and I've tried IE, Firefox and Chrome. This better not be another "Americans Only" thing from Disney. :sad1:

I e-mailed Disney about a glitch I kept running into on the new site. I had two DVC reservations linked and turned in one reservation, but the new site wouldn't recognize all four nights, just the last three.

They said this is a known glitch with DVC reservations and they are working on it. I was impressed that someone got back to me less than two hours later!

My room and dining ressies came up. Trying to make another dining res but no luck, it won't even go to that page.

I just logged onto the disney website and the old site came up instead of the new, when I had been using the new for about a day. Just for fun I priced the vacation I want and it came up $200 less than the same exact vacation timing, lenth etc than on the new website. What gives?

I don't understand why such a prominent company has so many website issues. I'm a Disney certified TA, and I swear one day I will put a pitchfork through my monitor because of their darn site!:rotfl:

I hate that you still can't link other ressies, like BBB. I don't understand why I still had to manually input all my ADR's and my hotel ressie. And the site is still slow as heck. But wait, we should all be impressed because we can now add a Disney character "avatar."

So I guess the most important question of this thread is: what character did you pick? I chose Wall-E.

It is an iPad issue! I am able to see the new site on desktop and laptop, entered everything manually yesterday and it was still there today. One thing that bugs me is that Swan/Dolphin reservations are not available unless you have a package booked. I'm not going to check in yet though, afraid of what might happen!!

Thanks for the tips on clearing the history/cookies. I'm going to have to try that. I switched over to the new site last night and it wouldn't find ANY of my resort reservations or ADRs. I was in such a hissy I called reservations just to be sure nothing fell off. All was good and I now have the confirmation numbers all in my spreadsheet JUST IN CASE.
Ugh.

Ugh.

I called to make sure everything was good too. The Disney rep just laughed because she said every phone call were people making sure their reservations were still confirmed. :P

You might have missed something, like insurance being on one package but not the other. Or an age being wrong.

You might want to call them and see if there really has been a change in the pricing, and see if you can get your reservation switched over to that new pricing, if it's "real".

Gotta say I do LIKE that you can put basic plans in there, like choosing the park you'll be going to that day. Seems someone noticed that there are people out there who like doing such wild and crazy things, and they might as well have the ability to do it rather than driving people to other sites for it.

On another thread (maybe on the Dining forum?) I saw that this morning some people had their Dining show up magically...I was so hoping mine would, but nope, gotta wait longer. I ended up putting my resorts on there and ONE ADR manually, and I've been waiting for them to finish up with their programming and website building, for the rest to show up. :)

I finally gave up and went back to the old site. It wasn't that my reservations didn't show (they did) - I kept having problems just accessing pages on the site, like pages to MAKE reservations (both hotel and dining). So I'm going to give it a few weeks and try again.

I have yet to be able to see this new website? :s still seeing the old one

I can't get the old site to come up. I have cleared my history and cookies several times and I keep getting the new site.

Does the new site not work on safari? When I go to the site, its the same old same old for me!

New site is terrible. I booked through disney and it won't pull up my ressies or let me enter my hotel. Also says I am not the primary on my dining?

Also doesn't work in chrome, the bottom bar doesn't resize so you can't run dual window to copy and paste your ressies easily. They should have waited to release this. They also should have a link on the main page to go back to the old site, instead you have to go in and delete your history.
