Interesting article from The Hollywood Reporter:

Walt Disney Family Feud: Inside His Grandkids' Weird, Sad Battle Over a $400 Million Fortune

Accusations of conspiracy, mental incompetence and financial misconduct, plus insinuations of kidnapping and incest, fly faster than "Frozen" merchandise off shelves as Brad and Michelle Disney Lund go to battle over their inheritance.

I always hate stories like this wealthy families fighting over who gets what. Especially the disney family a family built on doing things for others. If I were prt of the disney family I wouldn't ask for anything but maybe entry to the parks. I think having the disney name in your blood is cool enough.

to withhold distributions in the event the children did not demonstrate "maturity and financial ability to manage and utilize such funds in a prudent and responsible manner."

Perfect example of dictating from the grave. You're dead and gone. You've left them with a bunch of money. It's their life to do what they please. If they screw it up, so be it.

Really? You would just be cool with a couple thousand $$ in park passes and give up on $200 million?

It's actually rather sad that both siblings appear to be mentally ill in one way or another.

The kids should have received their inheritance. If they squander, so be it. It's their money and the trustees seem not to care about that fact. Of course they would probably miss not just their annual salaries but their control too.

Actually, it was Walt's money and he could do with it whatever he wanted. If he wanted to dictate from the grave, that was his prerogative.

I may not agree with everything he might have dictated, but it wasn't his kids or grandkids money.

Just like if my dad dies before me and he makes out a will deciding that I don't get anything, I may not like it, but it's his money and belongings, not mine.

The thumb is the kids have reached the ages when they were supposed to get their inheritance just like Walt wanted. The trustees have fought giving it to them.

maybe its just me but what I got from the article is that they are worried that the dad and step mom are going to take advantage of his mental issues and try to take his money.
