Is there a walmart on the way from wdw to the port. I heard there was one in the port not far away, but this darn search wont work for me. Thanks

There is a wal-mart no more than about 7 miles from the port. I believe it is a super center.

The wal-mart website lists 2 close--one in Merritt Island, Florida and one in Cocoa, Florida. The one in Merritt Island appears to be just south of 528 and the one in Cocoa is on 520.

For the Walmart off of Highway 528, you will turn at the off ramp of Hwy524 - you will be heading South-go a mile or so, that is hwy 524 make a left at the only traffic light you will see, go around the curve and there it is- you will see the Cocoa post office and know you that you are on the right road- you can not miss it. It is also a huge store and has everything you will need there.
As for the one in Merritt Island you can either go US-1 down to King's Blvd which is also known as Hwy 520 - its a HUGE intersection and about 4 miles or so South of Hwy 528 - you turn on Hwy 520 and it will bring you to Merritt Island - keep going for about 3 to 4 miles (heading East) and you will see it on your left hand side - stopping at the one in Cocoa will really simplify things for you.

The only place you will find beach toys this time of year is at CVS and Walgreens - Walmart, Target etc already have the holiday items on display and summer things will not be out until next April, but the drugstores here on the beach do carry them year round - oops I forgot so does the Cocoa Beach Public and Winn Dixie carry them.

I might have missed it in my quick read over, but I would also check some of the surf shops like Ron Jon's or the Beach Wave. All of these are in the same area

Hey PorterBob - I didn't mention BeachWave cause David has gone so over the edge with his prices and they looked as old as Christmas - Ron Jon's doesn't carry sand pails etc, but I know that Publix and Winn Dixie do - anyhow just thought I would put my 2 cents in for whatever its worth. Its a thought in case they can't be found anywhere else. You are the best tho.
