Walmart Savings Thread

I don't know if this has been posted, but in the aisle with the fans my Walmart had kits with the plastic to put over your windows in the winter on clearance for $2, I think they were $10 before. I got some to use next year.

Hey y'all. Walmart's not my normal "store of choice" (I pretty much live at Kroger and Target as they're the closest for me). We do have two Walmarts (both about 15-20 minutes out) near me and a gift card to spend for just under $100. I'd like to try and stock up on meats and such (clearance items, birthday/christmas gifts, ect) with that as I do most of my grocery shopping with my coupons and such at Kroger and now Target with their printable coupons for the "freebie" items.

So, what are the best deals out there right now (I'm sorry, I can't go back thruogh all of the thread to check them all out....). I'd like to spread the shopping out if possible so I can get stuff for our DS4's birthday party in July but if I find good deals before then, that's ok too!

I don't know what the best deals are, but I don't buy meat or produce at WalMart. It just isn't as fresh as a regular supermarket.

I don't like Wal-Mart's meat. I only get frozen Tyson chicken there, and that's only when I can't get to Costco. Their meat and produce isn't all that great. I much prefer Fry's (Kroger) or Costco.

My Wal-Mart is running tons of clearance stuff. I found a bunch of those Didj games for $5. We don't have the system, so I left them. I think they are running such good clearance deals at mine b/c they are redoing the store. It's only 3 years old, but they have completely tore it apart and are moving things in totally different spots. They even created a seperate pharmacy in the center of the store. Not sure why they are doing all this since the store it new, but at least it's bringing on good sales. Of course, I have no idea where the heck everything is since it seems to change daily right now.

Kellogg's cereal is on sale for $1.80 - use the $1 off q's recently on coupons.com and spend 80 cents per box.

also, some people are reporting the Tag reading system on clearance for $12. It's still $49.99 at my store. anyone willing to pick me up one, I'll obviously pay shipping.

Our store has a ton of clearance right now & also is getting remodelled. I asked and they said a lot of Wal-Marts are getting redone. They are trying to be more 'hip'. Our fabric cutting station is getting shut down & they are going to totally redo the way the crafts are organized. The lady said her understanding is we should be getting more choices in an easier to locate kind of way. Okiedokie is what say.

My walmart has Pepsi 12 packs for $2.00 and I was lucky enough to have a Buy 2, get 1 Free 12 pack coupon so I got 3 12 packs for $4!!!

I bought 3 kraft b-b-q sauce for 98 cents each. I printed 3 coupons off from smart sorce and Kraft for 1$ each .. So I got 3 free

Just a heads up on the Kraft BBQ sauce. My store(Weis Markets) has the sauce on sale this week for $1. Plus, there is a catalina deal.
Buy 4 get $2 oyno
Buy 5 get $2.50 oyno
Buy 6 or more and get $3 oyno

Depending on how many $1 q's you have, this has a potential to be a moneymaker. I bought 4, used 4-$1 q's, and received the $2 oyno to use on a future purchase. So, it was a $2 moneymaker for me. I know this catalina deal is happening at other stores(Giant PA, Kroger, etc). And I know some stores also have the sauce on sale for $1. So, look around.

I just bought that system for DS4's birthday in July at Target when it was on sale for $29.99 with a $5.00 coupon (makeing it $25.00). I would also be willing to mail anyone who's able to find them on clearance another $5 coupon to use (I have a couple hoosiermama - would be glad to mail one for you as well!!!) towards the purchase! Then I could return the other one to Target and make DS4's birthday gift even cheaper!!! We were at Walmart over the weekend too but there wasn't anything great on clearance.
