After 10 receipts, I have 40 cents. Woohoo?

Got an email this evening regarding the scanning QR not working recently. The email said it's been fixed now. No mention of extending time to enter the receipts.

In spite of not getting much back yet, I'm going to stick with it a while. I hope this means next time the QR will work for me. I can scan QR codes via a QR app just fine normally, but for some reason all 10 times Walmart's app would just bring up a blurry image of the receipt and not scan it. I am tired of typing in the numbers.

I tried to price match the other night at Walmart and the cashier told me it was all done through the savings catcher now.

I'm sad to hear that. The non-tech-savvy folks or the haven nots end up paying more for the same stuff, the same way folks who pay out of pocket for medical care have to pay higher than the negotiated rates by the insurance companies. Ugh.

According to a few cashiers at our store (and DS's in Florida), they will be getting rid of the cashier price over ride aka price matching.

I'm guessing taking out the "human factor" will save Walmart big bucks. No more cashier mistakes or fraud?

It will also be a disadvantage for people without smart phones (elderly or the poor for example) or people that don't want big brother to have a record of what they are purchasing.
