walmart question from Aussie.

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can give me an idea how far Walmart is from WDW? And do they sell hair straighteners? If my GHD doesn't work for some reason due to the voltage differences I can't do without a straightener so I would have to get one in the US somewhere. If I had to get to Walmart can you easily get a cab there and back, do they have easy access to cabs at Walmart? Thanks, hope someone can give me some advice!

I can't tell you about the nearest Wal Mart, but if by GHD you mean a hair dryer, then you shouldn't have a problem if you are staying at one of the Disney resorts. I know all the moderate and deluxe resorts have hair dryers in the rooms, and I'm pretty sure all the value resorts do as well. Although they are small, the ones I have used at Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter have gotten my hair dried just fine, so if you are staying on Disney property you don't have to bring your own hair dryer (hey, one less thing to pack, right?).

Slightly farther, about 0.3 miles, is this one. We found it back in March and it was basically brand new. Easy to get to and back to the park. Plus you pass a lot of other stores enroute.
