Walmart Orders to the resort

I just have some questions regarding ordering some water and other supplies to be delivered to the resort.
Do you have any suggestions about how long before are actual arrival day to order it?
Will they hold it for as long as we need until we get there.
Do I need to put any special instructions on there?

Yes, there are a couple of important things you need to include in your shipping information:

First, you need to put the proper street address (no P.O. Boxes, General Delivery, etc.) of your resort, as your package will most likely be delivered to you by UPS or Fed Ex Ground.

Secondly, you need to include your reservation number and date of arrival, so the hotel staff will hold the package for you.

Since it's Walmart, I would give it about 2-3 business days, since they have distribution centers all over the country.

Where do you include your reservation number when you order? Where do you pick it up at the resort?

My order wasn't walmart but I'd think it would be handled same way. I addressed to myself (use lead name on ressie) c/o resort. Once I arrived I went to luggage services and stated I had a pkg waiting for me, they said those deliveries were kept someplace else but I didn't catch where ( i'd guess front desk would have been place to ask). They brought it up to our room for us. I had no place to put ressie number on order/shipping info.I'm sure you could just call front desk from room and have stuff brought up but we were heading to Food court for drinks anyway.

Here's my advise. Don't wait more than a day to find out where your order is in transit. I placed 2 orders 8 days ago. Order #2 arrived in 48 hours. Order #1 never updated the tracking information. Just said shipped should arrive 6/1 to 6/6. Today is 6/7 and no updates. So I was patient while waiting for the shipping and figured I'd better call as we arrive tomorrow. After 15 minutes of BS I find a telephone number to call walmart CS. "sorry, I guess your order was never picked up by Fed Ex, we'll reship. Oh wait......out of stock, do you want your money back?" It's water, how can they be out of water?

So now my great idea to save money with walmart.com has reminded me why I really hate walmart and try to avoid it at all costs. At least I do have 1 case hopefully waiting for me when we arrive tomorrow. I hope that's not lost as well.

Thanks!! I also hate Wal-Mart. Last time I was there, I had sweatpants on and some lady shopping thought I worked there because I looked liked the other employees. I looked around and sure enough, the employees I saw were wearing sweatpants. However, I buy some things Site to Store because it is often inexpensive that way (toys, etc...).

I did put my reservation # in the address field. I'll find out in about 10 hours if it worked ok.

I ordered about 10 days out and it was a little early but I wanted to make sure I allowed a few days for problems.....as much as that helped me. Still don't understand how you run out of water? Doesn't any walmart store have about 10,000 gallons?
