Wall E

Just got back myself. I really enjoyed it, but it just seemed so slow....I think its one that the more I see it the more I'll enjoy it. I was the same was the the Incredibles.

We tried to go but the only seating they said they had left was the first couple of rows. Didn't really want to walk out of the theater with a sore neck. I knew better than to wait until we got to the theater to get tickets. So, we came home and I bought tickets for tomorrow night.

I hope everyone that saw it already really enjoyed it.

ust got back and it was too cute!!!

I loved it and the animated short in the begining was great!!!:rotfl:

I hope you guys like Hello Dolly!

How "scary" was it? My DD4 can't handle much conflict, she loved Toy Story and Toy Story 2 but is pretty scared of most Disney flix-- how would you rate this on the 4 year old scary meter? I really want to see it...

We also just got back, and thought it was GREAT!!!!! I gotta agree there were some slow parts, but it was well worth the wait!!! 2 thumbs up here :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !!!!!

I don't think she would have a problem with it. The theater was filled with little ones and I didn't hear any of them upset or crying. My boys are much older now so I would be curious if the other moms or dads agree.

FYI, the short before it was wonderful!!!!!!

I dont know how the heck this posted ahead of jbucci question??????

I don't think it's very scary at all. In fact I'd say it's less scary than Sid in Toy Story. There are moments of worry about characters, but I would not describe it as scary.

Exactly, not scary per se, but a little sad.

(I admit it, yes I did cry)

A really fantastic movie! :thumbsup2

Saw Wall-E last night at the 10:10 show...

LOVED IT!

Loved the short before the movie too... wicked funny.

And yes, Wall-E made me cry.

(oh who am i kidding...i cried when i saw the castle and heard the disney music)

Wall-E is incredible. It just absolutely humiliates the competition in terms of story, visuals, sound design, character development and message. Pixar could be one of the greatest studios going and there are no signs that they are scraping by. Very little voice work in this movie focuses the attention on the visuals, and wow are they something else. The lack of celebrity voices is completely freeing (other than perennial fave, John Ratzenberger) and the exclusion of popular songs from 10-15 years ago is refreshing.

I keep thinking back to the trailer for Madagascar 2 and the comparison between the two movies is striking. Where Madagascar looks to be a paint-by-number routine, Wall-E seems from another universe. This is a serious movie, there is humour in it, but for the most part, this is a movie with something to say. The great thing is, Pixar refuses to play by the lowest common denominator, and instead offers up the messages in unique and challenging ways. There is no spoonfeeding here! Kids are going to grow up with this movie and they will see something new in it each time they watch it. As they age and mature they will encounter ideas and themes that will enrich them. I can't say enough good things about this movie. It may be the first Pixar movie to get an Oscar for best pic, it is that good.

All in all a classic in every sense of the word and the short that precedes it was worth the $9 admission alone. CLASSIC cartoon that reminded me so much of the great Looney Tunes shorts.

:worship: PIXAR

Have to agree with everyone. Awesome, awesome movie. So worth the wait! I only wish we had seen a Midnight showing.

I have to admit, I love seeing that opening with the castle. :thumbsup2

I was elbowing my wife and saying, "We are going to be there soon!"

The movie is great! I really liked the story and I thought that the ending was excellent.

It has a great positive message! This is a great movie for kids! The children sitting around us loved it!

My family saw it today and loved it too. My 3 year old son loved it. It didn't seem scary to him, but one of his favorite movies is Transformers. He is not going to stop talking about the Chihuahua movie. I am sure that is going to be a silly movie, but every kid in the movie theather was excited by that preview.

The UK dont get to see it until 18th July :scared1: Maybe try to see it when we come in 8 days at DTD

Just got back from seeing Wall.E and we loved it. Pixar has out done themselves. DS and DD got free watches. They were excited about that. I will have to see it again soon.

My four year old daughter and I just came back from seeing this and I thought it was really cute. It was unique in that there was very little actual dialog in the movie. DD was able to follow the storyline just fine tho, and thought it was hilarious.

I was a bit surprised that it seemed to have an undercurrent of, I dunno, *un* political correctness. I don't want to give specifics because I know alot of people haven't seen it yet, but the physical condition of the people in the movie was a bit shocking to me.

If you've seen the movie yet, was this surprising or off putting to you?:confused3

I kind of laughed at that actually. Yeah, it wasn't PC... but... I don't know - I kind of agreed with the sentiment behind their physical conditions. Not to divulge too much info to those that haven't seen it...but...

if we keep going the way we're going... is that such a far-fetched idea?

We just got back from seeing it. DH and I both LOVED it!! For those who dont like it...I dont know what to really tell you. Disney did an EXCELLENT job on a clear message - people are messy and lazy and we as a whole are getting fat! Especially Americans. With all the fast food places. Why else do you think Nintendo released Wii Fit and why else do you think its one of the top selling Games here in the US. Same as the message in Wall-E. Its time to stop being so lazy and time to get up and moving.
