Walkway to DS open?

I am trying to navigate getting from a park to Disney Springs. From what I recall reading there currently are no buses from parks to DS so my thought would be to grab a bus to SSR and then walk over if the walkway is open.

if that is the case which section of SSR should we get off at to have the shortest walk over to DS?

Congress park bus stop is where you would want to get off and there are signs how to get to DS from there. I was at WDW last month and they did have buses going to DS after 4pm, IDK if that has changed. Or, depending on what park you are at, you can walk to the nearest resort and catch a bus from there. So for MK, go to the Contemporary; Epcot, Beach Club, etc. AK you can catch the bus to AKL. Have a great trip.

You could also grab a bus at the nearest resort to the theme park you are leaving from directly to Disney Springs. Like if you are at MK, grab a bus at Contemporary.

I am here now and it says the walkway is closed from dusk until dawn. It gets dark around 5:30 right now
