Walkway from MK to GF?

Anyone else wonder why they don't finish that walkway from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom? You can walk from the Magic Kingdom all the way to the waterway where they store the light parade boats. You would have to build a bridge there and another bridge as you get to the GF. You can build a bridge similar to the one in Epcot that opens to let the barges out over by the outpost. It's a little bit of a walk, but less than the walkway from Boardwalk to the Studios.
