I would really like to do this next trip (in less than six weeks! Yay!) - does anyone know if I need to book in advance and if so how do I go about doing that?

Those that have done it - is it good? what do you get to see?

Thanks
EK

I'd advise booking in advance as I beleive that there is only one tour per day and the language alternates from English to French every day. You can book at City Hall in DLRP or alternativly give them a call (although I haven't got a number for them)

I did both park tours in August. There are two tours of each park a day but whoever books first determines what language they are in ie. one day there could be one English and one German tour, the next day one French and one Spanish tour. We booked about a month before we went, by e-mail, there is a link in The Very Useful Info sticky. I would advise booking as soon as possible, a poster recently tried to book and there was only one English tour on while she was there.

The Disneyland one lasts two hours and the Studios one is an hour and a half. DanaUK did a review of her tour, I'm sure there's a link to it in the sticky too.

We really enjoyed the tours, especially the one of the Studios. To be honest, you will probably know all the stuff they tell you already but I still think it is well worth doing. There were still a couple of things I didn't know, or if I ever did, I'd forgotten them! The Studios one was very interesting, especially to my DD who's doing an Art course at college so was really into all the film-making stuff.

I'd thoroughly recommend them. :thumbsup2

Thanks all - we will definitely do this. I have skim read Dana's report (I don't want to know too much before we go!)

We are there Thurs - Sun, leaving Sun lunchtime. I thought perhaps best to do it on the Thursday afternoon as a little intro or maybe on the Saturday. My logic is that on the Saturday the parks will be busy and this will give us something to do that isn't standing about in queues; but then again the Sat will be busy with the tour as well won't it, and the fewer people the better I guess.

Ah well will see what they can do!

Thanks again
EK

I'd definitely get it booked soon but do it on what days suits you best as the tour may not be busy. We did ours in the middle of August and there was a Dutch couple on our Disneyland one (we're a family of 5) so 7 people in all but on the Studios one it was just us so we really felt like VIPs!! :snooty:

I would definately book ahead. When we booked they gave us a choice of tour times and as we were the 1st to book they made the times we selected the English language tours. We were very lucky when we did our tours as we were the only people on both of our tours and we felt live real VIP's.

In the summer months the tours were very popular. As the English tours were shifted to the afternoon we didn't go on them :)
