Walking Time Animal Kingdom and FPs

How many minutes would it take to walk from Dinosaur to Festival of the Lion King on a busy day (NYE)? We arrive that day at the Poly around 12:00-12:30 and will eat at a counter service right away and then head to AK. I am thinking...

Dinosaur FP 1:30-2:30
FOLK FP arrive 2:30-2:50
Expedition Everest 3:30-4:30

Do you think there will be enough time if we ride Dinosaur at like 2:10pm to make it over to FOLK? I originally had Dinosaur at 4:30-5:30 but we have Ohana dinner at 7pm that we want to make sure we make it back in time for.

1. Allow 15 minutes.

2. If you are BOARDED and underway by 2:10, yes.
If you are still waiting in line to board by 2:10, I'd be nervous.

3. I like that timing better. If you were to get in FP+ line for Dino by 4:30, you'd make it to 'Ohana easily, by bus or car.
'Ohana is virtually ALWAYS backed-up and late-to-seat, especially by 7PM-ish, so I'd not sweat that timing at all.

Dinosaur to FOTLK is a bit of a hike, especially if you have to navigate large crowds. Depending on your walking pace, I would think you could do it in about 10 minutes. If you arrive at Dinosaur at 2:10, it will take at least a few minutes to get into and out of the preshow and then get through the boarding process and then the ride itself. If you get out of the building by 2:30 you should be able to make it to FOTLK by 2:50, but you will be cutting it close.

I'd put your chances at about 80%, but you will be hustling.

If you do Dino at 4:30 you should have no trouble getting in and out and over to the Poly by 7.

I would not risk getting to fotlk too late. I don't know if they cut off the fp+ line, but I know they cut the SB line off for the 12pm show on Tuesday the 11th at about 11:50am. They still let people in the SB line, bit it was for the 1pm show..they had a rope separating us. I would try to get in.line for dinosaur NLT 2pm. Using a fp+, you should be out by 220 and then should be at fotlk by 235/240ish.

Thanks for the advice! I thought about changing it back to 4:30 but 4:40-5:40 was only available now and being all tired from travel I can picture us wanting to relax and get ready before dinner and stuff while at 1:30 we won't have a room ready most likely and will want to be busy and we could end up getting to Dinosaur earlier than 2:10 and if not, no biggie if we miss it Thanks!!
