) It takes about 10 minutes to walk from SoG to the Poly. to get to the monrail station, just go in the lobby and take the elevator upstairs--the monrail station is outside.Shades of Green. It was previously the Disney Inn, before that it was the Golf Resort. The Department of Defense took it over several years ago and now it is available only to active/retired military folks and employees of the DoD. From what I understand, it is a wonderful resort. However it is currently under construction and is expected to be up and running by March of 04.Originally posted by alaskantwinks
I'm just curious, because we are staying at the Poly, what is SoG?

LOL @ other Kelly! Sorry, your VFW membership dosen't count, though it's very admireable!
Yes, if you are retired military you can use the facilities, and you can also be their guest, as long as they are there with you! The rates are great, they are on a sliding scale, according to your grade/pay rate. The Passporter has SoG listed as a "Deluxe" resort, and we will only have to pay $105 a day (with no taxes!). This is great for a single mom like myself!
Thanks for all your replies...it's really nice, and hope to make a few cyber-friends.
