I've stayed at the Royal Pacific a couple times, and am familiar with the walking path that leads to CityWalk near IoA, as well as using the water taxi.

I'm planning on going to HHN this year, and am thinking about trying the Hard Rock, since it's closer to the side where the Halloween stuff happens. How's the walk from the Hard Rock to the entrance of the Universal Studios side of the park?

It's exceptionally close. I've never counted the steps, but it seems like it takes longer to get to the path from the hotel than it does from the path to the entrance of US.

What would be your rough estimate as to the time it takes to get from hotel to park entrance?

if you plan to stay at HRH, book once the HHN site goes live.
once tickets go on sale, peeps start looking to book rooms.

HRH only has 650 guest rooms.
standard rooms usually go first.

sometimes they sell out before the other 2 deluxe hotels.

I plan on doing just that. HRH isn't that big of a deal, if I can get it it'll be nice. Otherwise, I've had no problems with the Royal Pacific.
