Walking from Griz Rapids in DCA to the DH.

Looks like I'll slip into DCA (to pick up Soarin & Griz FPs) & maybe ride a ride or two at 10:20 ish & need to make my 11:15 am Brunch at Goofy's in the DH.

If I'm at Griz Rapids.....would i do better to walk thru the GCH & DTD to the DH?.....or try to catch the Monorail somewhere?

What would be the best route & when should we head over there (assuming two very fast walkers - hound & little hound (DS 9 )

Hi, Hound, hope you and little hound are having fun!

I think it WOULD be faster cutting through GCH. The entrance is close by the exit from GRR in CA. Walk through the entrance hallway, turn right and then follow left around the pool area into the lobby. Just past the elevators turn right and follow the signs to the DTD entrance. You come out about halfway down DTD. Turn left and head down to DLH.

You couldn't take the monorail without hopping back across the esplanade to DL and going all the way back in Tomorrowland. It comes out near the end of DTD, near DLH. It would be a great way to go back into the park after your brunch, though!

Thanks Avalon.....I won't be there till Sunday. I thought the GCH shortcut would be the best bet from Griz Rapids....(& am very familiar with it) but wanted confirmation, since i've never been to the DH or ridden the Monorail before.

From Griz thru the GCH to DTD (next to Sephoria or some store named similarly) would take about 4-5 min. Any idea how long a walk from Sephoria (or Naples Pizza) in DTD to the DH?

Hi Hound. Probably another 10 minutes or so. If you're extra fast walkers, it might even be less.

From Griz to DH, probably 15 min total. Watch out for those strollers

Thanks Janomi.....nothing like 2 1/2 hours of touring.....then a brisk morning walk followed by a 5 course feed with Baloo & the Goofster.

Check there before you count on the short cut though the GCH. The last time I tried to go though there they turned me back because I wasn't a guest at the hotel.

Anyone can enter the GCH through the private entrance. Just tell them you are dining at one of the restaurants if there is a question (however, I have NEVER ever been questioned going in). It's the entering into DCA from the GCH that is reserved for guests in the morning hours.
