Walking from BWV to Parks

I see you can walk from BWV to both Epcot and Studios. Looks to be about 3/4 of a mile to Studios. Anyone have experiences walking? I would think that after the Illuminations at Epcot or Fantasmic at Studios it would be best to walk back to BWV rather than Disney transportation.

What are your thoughts?

Are there buses that run from those 2 parks or is it all water transportation?

We were at BWI last month. We walked to HS and it took about 15 minutes. The villas are even closer to the path than the "Inn" side...

There is no bus transportation to HS or Epcot, just the boats and walking...they said if there is thunder/lightning then the boats shut down--but I dont remember if they said if they provide bus transportation then, or if you are just stuck walking in a storm? Luckily, we didn't find out!

We stayed at BWV in January and walked to both parks, didn't time it so I can't say exactly but to Epcot seemed very quick to me - under 10 minutes I'd guess. Studios was a bit longer, perhaps 15, better than a bus IMO! I'm pretty sure your only options are walking or boating. Only other thing I would mention is that the walk to DHS was quite chilly for us, and I would imagine pretty darn hot in the summer...that's one good reason you may want to wait for a boat. Nice thing is that the boats are very well timed, not at all like the buses!

We almost always walk rather than take the boats to Epcot and HS. When walking to HS, we try to do it in the morning or at night, it could be a hot walk in the middle of summer.

We almost always walk to Epcot. We usually boat to DHS to save our legs, our room last time was on the end near the Swan dock (we used the steps).

We stayed at Beach Club (very close to Boardwalk) and would always walk to Epcot but boat to Hollywood Studios.

My family loves staying at the BWV because of the easy access to Epcot and DHS. We usually take the boat so as to save our feet and legs for more fun things (like being in the park!). The boat takes about 25 minutes from BW to DHS (you stop at YC/BC and then S/D before going to DHS). To Epcot, the boat is about 5 minutes.

If you're going to talk, it's about 0.36 miles (or six and half football fields). To DHS, it's about 0.9 miles. For reference, it's a little longer than walking from the Epcot front ticket gates to the American Pavilion.
