Walking from BCV to EPCOT

Does anyone know how long the walk is from BCV to EPCOT, also BCV to HWS? Thanks!

BC to EP is maybe 10 min. and BC to DHS is 20 - 25 min walk depending on how fast or slow you walk. These times were for an easy stroll.

The friendships are quick too and you do not have to collapse your stroller. Epcot is quicker to walk to. We will be there in May can't wait!

I am still debating bw contemporary or WL. Which is faster to mk, walking from a tower room or boat from wl ?

It takes no more than five minutes to walk from BCV to Epcot (maybe 10 if you've got little ones walking with you). DHS is much father (more than a mile) so it can take 20-30 minutes depending on how quickly you walk.

When we've stayed at BCV, we walk to Epcot and take the boat to DHS.

Epcot 7-8 minutes depending which room your in.
HS- 18-20 mins. Same reason. Thats at a reg. Stroll. If you have kids in strollers neither number should change. If you have lil ones walking then it can dramatically alter these numbers.

Staying in bwv the numbers were a lot more even.

Somewhere around 11 minutes epcot and 13 minutes for HS.

From BC to Epcot....about 7 mins. It's a bit longer from BW, maybe closer to 8 or so.
To DHS, from BC? About 25 mins. It's almost the same if you take the boat. BUT...you have to add in wait times with the boat. If the boat is there, or coming in from BW? Take the boat. It will go to S/D when it leaves YC/BC and then to DHS. Just don't get on the wrong boat...otherwise, you'll head to BW and then to Epcot!!!

We walk pretty quickly and do not have kids. 10 minutes or so. Close enough that we bought a BCV contract to use for Food and Wine

DHS is more of a walk than we thought, maybe 20 minutes for us, 30 at a slower pace. We got passed by 2 ferries so it may have been better to wait, but it was a nice walk.

Thanks everyone! I noticed there was a comment about not having to fold strollers on the boats, is this really true? Last year (if I remember right) I believe they told us we had to fold the stroller before getting on? Maybe we just had a grumpy captain? This would be great, because if your child is sleeping you don't have to take them out of the stroller!

On the friendship boats I don't remember that we had to fold our strollers and we were able to walk on. There are some types of boats you do have to fold them. I think that when we took the boats from SSR to DTD we had to collapse our stroller

The walk to Epcot is 5-8 minutes, DHS is much longer (not bad in the early morning, but in the afternoon on a hot and humid day... just take the ferry!). If the ferry is at the YC dock then it's much faster. If you have to wait for one it depends on when it gets there.

It depends....I know, not what you wanted to hear!! I have been on boats that allowed you to keep the stroller open, and other times, they asked that the stroller be folded up. Same type boat each time. It may have to do with how many are on the boat, and how many strollers are already there, and unfolded. There is only so much room. I would board at the back of the boat for the best shot at leaving it unfolded.

We have taken the friendship boats many times and were never asked to collapse the strollers. There is a lot of room in the back. We have also not gone to Disney at peak times such as Spring Break or Christmas time so it's possible if it's mobbed they could ask. But there is also a maximum they will allow on the boats so I can't imagine it would get too crowded. I would recommend walking to EPCOT but taking the boats to DHS if you have kids b/c you don't want them to get too tired before you get there (unless they are in the stroller).

My long legged son and I 'race' each other, he walks, I boat, from DHS to YC/BC, even w/out a wait for the boat @ DHS, he always wins and is waiting for me to disembark the boat.

I don't deal w/ strollers these days, so tend not to really notice if/when they have to be folded up, but I have seen them ask that strollers be collapsed if the boat is full and I've seen them asking a few strollers already on board to move and be collapsed to accomodate someone in a wheelchair (the sort that the person could not leave the chair) needing that space on board, but generally if there's room, they seem to let the strollers stay open. It's not like some boats to the Poly/GF for example, where all strollers have to be folded prior to boarding.
