Hey all! I am looking for a hotel within walking distance to downtown disney. We will be staying there just one night prior to our arrival at the Boardwalk Villas. So, I am hoping to find something not too expensive. Just need a clean, safe place to sleep for the night...we are hoping to walk over to DTD for some dinner that night! Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks !

The following Hotel Plaza hotels/resorts are across from DTD:

Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel
Doubletree Guest Suite Resort
Hilton in the WDW Resort
Regal Sun Resort
Royal Plaza
Buena Vista Resort Palace & Spa

Last I heard, Regal Sun had an internet special (as they recently remodeled) -- that might fill the bill for a night...

We are just back from the Buena Vista Palace Resort and Spa.

It is right across the street from DTD - Marketplace.

Great hotel. We got a good rate directly from their website. Rooms were recently refurbished. A very modern looking hotel. It has a convention center attached so there are business types around. A bit Disney - a storeand 24/7 of Top 7 Disney Must See's with Stacey!!

Beds were heavenly!!

We got a "theme park view" and watched Illluminations and Wishes from our balcony. It was great.

I'd highly recommend this property.

Here's a map that sort of shows you the distance.......(the Grosvenor is now the Regal Sun) :

Also, the Wydham Place is the Buena Vista Palace.

And I wouldn't exactly say that the map is very accurate in terms of scale.

The BVP is directly across the street from DTD - definately closer IMO than the Regal Sun. Those small buildings are part of the resort and I'd say the main building is about that close.

Oh no---agreed.......that is why I stated "sort of shows you an idea" in my above post. I have posted that map/pic in other threads as well, as a general idea of distance/postioning. I figure it can be helpful to some but never suggested it was to scale. :)

Thanks to all of you for helping. It is much appreciated!! I am thinking the Regal Suns, but not sure yet!! Again, thanks for your help!

Hey I noticed on the map there is a Courtyard Marriott? Is that still there or is it something else? Thx

We stayed at the Hilton at DTD two years ago as an added night before our stay at the Beach Club. It is a 2 minute walk across the lawn of the Hilton and across the street to DTD Marketplace. Of course it's more of a walk through to the restaurants/Cirque/DisneyQuest/etc.

We liked the location and were pleased with the accomodations. We are actually staying there on our next trip because DH's company is paying for a conference he is attending.

The pool is great, there's a nice hot tub we enjoyed immensely the evening after a long flight.
