Last minute opportunity for my DD to tag along on a work trip and spend a day or two solo at Disney before college. My hotel budget is way low since its Work related. Needs to be reasonable walking distance to gates and somewhere I can feel safe with her walking back at night especially if I am stuck at work. Also need Wifi if I have to work from the room and a reasonable parking fee.

Any recommendations? The alternative is using the corp hotel near the office and having her Uber. (not really a fan of this at all)

We stayed at Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn and really liked it. The prices are $250 or so. The walk was 2 minutes from the hotel to the crosswalk. They have a hot breakfast and the beds were very comfortable.

thank you! checked those out but looks like they are booked. Not having a lot of luck finding anything under 200. The walk looked safe and I appreciate the breakfast info!

I'd check back now and then, maybe dates will open up. Hyatt Place had decent prices when I looked for our June trip, and you can use the Toy Story shuttle if you stay there.

From looking recently for friends who decided at the last minute to tag along on our trip this week, I found much more availability going directly to individual hotel sites rather than aggregator sites like Booking.com or Travelocity so I think hotels hold back some rooms.

Hotel Lulu $154 plus tax: https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/b...bw-premier-collection/propertyCode.05764.html

Hampton Inn (longish walk or use Toy Story shuttle) is $187+tax (includes breakfast), so is Hilton Anaheim. https://www.hilton.com/en/search/hilton-honors/?query=Anaheim%2C%20California%2C%20US&placeId=null&arrivalDate=2022-08-01&departureDate=2022-08-07&flexibleDates=false&numRooms=1&numAdults=1&numChildren=1&room1ChildAges=17&room1AdultAges=&specialRateTokens=&awc=&cid=&dclid=&gclid=&wtmcid=&displayCurrency=LOCAL&adjoiningRoomStay=false&sessionToken=35ba2173-1737-4253-abdc-66e5ac5813f5

Desert Palms (also includes breakfast) has rooms in the $190-$200+tax range: https://be.synxis.com/?adult=2&arri..._medium=channel_connect&utm_source=google-hpa

Alpine Inn is $1270 including taxes and resort fees: https://www.alpineinnanaheim.com/

Getawaytoday.com has a few options:

Castle Inn for $1183 with tax included: https://www.getawaytoday.com/hotels/disneyland-resort/castle-inn-and-suites

Sheraton Park $1244 with tax included
https://www.getawaytoday.com/hotels/disneyland-resort/sheraton-park-hotel-at-the-anaheim-resort

Wyndham for $1358 with tax included:

Anaheim Hotel for $1420 including tax https://www.getawaytoday.com/hotels/disneyland-resort/the-anaheim-hotel

Thank you for this! I looked at the reviews for Hotel Lulu and safety seemed to be a concern. Anyone with recent experience? Will definitely try the direct websites route as well. Maybe i will get lucky and hit a cancellation.

This might be the winner, they have rooms! when you say toy story shuttle, like walk a bit to the toy story lot and jump on the parking shuttle? Any concerns at night? THANKS!

I am a solo traveler and I stayed at the Hotel Lulu last September. I really liked the hotel, the beds were comfy and the staff was very friendly. I had no security concerns whatsoever. It's about a 20 minute walk to the parks...I do walk slow but it was doable. But in the evening I usually took ART back to the hotel because with all the walking you do during the day I just didn't have the energy to walk back to the hotel. But I did wander out at night I went to the Walgreens down the road and just roamed around a bit. I felt perfectly safe.

Yes, the shuttle to the Toy Story lot is about a 5 minute walk from Hyatt Place. You can take that to/from the parks. There will be lots of other people walking back from the shuttle lot to your hotel. We used the shuttle when staying at Hyatt HOUSE in 2019, which is in the opposite direction but the whole area felt safe at night.

Im a solo traveller and I'm just back from Desert Inn and Suites. I have previously stayed at Tropicana Hotel. I would recommend both hotels, about 7 minutes walk from room to bag check

Depends on what you consider walking distance but the convention center hotels can be cheaper (around 120-150) if there isn't a major convention going on. So hotels like the Marriott, Hilton, Courtyard and Hyatt Place. The Sheraton is the closest of the Convention Center hotels and the DoubleTree is the furthest. All of them are generally nicer than the hotels just across the street from the park and typically cost less. The ART shuttle also stops right in front of both the Marriott and Hilton which makes things convenient.

If you're renting a car, you can return Hertz to the Marriott and Enterprise to the Hilton to save on parking.

Park Vue Inn, Desert Inn and Suites, Del Sol Inn are three that come to mind also check the website GetAwayToday

I like to be within a short walking distance rather than stay near Toy Story Lot, but we have done that to save money.

Desert Inn and Suites is my go-to. Sometimes Grand Legacy at the Park is cheaper, so we have stayed there.

I'm going to be honest that under $200 walking distance these days has become harder especially in summer months.
Then again walking distance is different for everyone.

As an alternative have you considered Hyatt Regency Orange County ? It has a dedicated hotel shuttle for their guests only $6/ per day and can buy tickets at a kiosk at the hotel.
They offer AAA discounts too if that helps. I stayed recently in a renovated high floor room and it was WONDERFUL.
Parking is not cheap think around $25 now for self ( the average rate even across the street) but would take the walking/ safety concern aspect away.
Anaheim Majestic Garden also has their own dedicated shuttle but I've never stayed there.

I've stayed Hotel Lulu several times since the rebrand from Red Lion and not sure of safety concerns since that and have stayed 3 or 4 times since last year.
Staff is always very friendly too and rooms are nicely updated as well.
Parking fee is about $22 I think.
