Walking at night

Now that it is getting dark early, does anyone take walks in their neighborhood at night? While it's still not too cold here I'd like to still walk outside, however it's usually after 7pm when I get home. There are sidewalks everywhere but not a whole lot of street lamps. Do you find that there is enough light so you don't trip? Do you wear reflective clothing? Any tips would be great

Two things- reflective clothing so you are visible to others and a headlamp such as a Petzl Tikka Plus so that you have good visibility. The Tikka Plus seems to be a favorite of the triathlon crowd as anyone w/ a daytime commitment ends up either running in the morning in the dark or running at night in the dark this time of year. Look up Illuminite clothing- it can be found cheaper on Sierra Trading Post's website. Hope this helps.
