Walkie-Talkies.. The Continuing Saga

I told you he would drive me crazy. Expecting a quiet evening at home alone (beause he has his accounting class on Wednesday nights) He arrives home early. After much regaling of his expiences with co-workers using the WT's, it was my turn to continue the distance quest . Off he goes, into the night calling me as he went along to see if I could still hear him. But the time he got a mile and a quarter away I decided it was time to return to the homefront as it was getting late. As he returnd I was called from a inside a store, inside a bar, in front of the church, behind a large brick building. Ye, yes Joe, I hear you . Imagine 4 more months of this? I'll really ned a vacation.

I can just see Joe now, looking like that Verizon guy, "Can you hear me now?"

LOL! Deb, that's exactly what he was saying. Not only that, when he got home he was listening to his short-wave radio in the livingroom and kept ringing me to tell me what country he was listening to. A couple of times I was trying to answer the phone because the ring is almost the same.
