Walkie Talkies: Carry-on or Check In Baggage?

Not sure what the rules are on airlines regarding walkie talkies.
It doesn't matter to me but I've heard you shouldn't pack any electronic device of value in your checked luggage. I have no idea where to put these. Help!

You can take them in either. The airlines reccomend that you take any valuables with you in your carry on and you would be fine taking walkie talkies through security.

Definitely take them in your carry on.

Way too many reports of items being stolen out of checked baggage.
