Hey everyone, went to the track last night, did 1 hour...have no idea how far I went but felt good to get out there again. I now know how a race car driver feels....all those left hand turns

Morning everyone. I did 4.25 miles on TM last night. It is getting so hard to keep motiviated to do these walks, I would just like to eat Christmas cookies and watch TV. I am officially sick of walking and to think I have to do 20 miles this weekend. What else does a pretty princess have to do right before Christmas but spend 5 hours walking. It would be the same torture if I was spending 5 hrs shopping so I am going to approach this as been a healthy alternative.

Robert--- Thanks for the articles. I had read about the death on EE yesterday but was unaware of the other incident. You do tend to forget that bad people are still around even at WDW. I'm sorry to hear that there has been little improvement in your shin issue.

Kim--- Good for you doing 1 hr on a track I think I would have gone insane. I bored so easily. I can't believe that Christmas is coming so fast.

Just a quick check in today, hope everyone is doing well.....6 more sleeps till Santa comes!!!!!

We love the track and use it to count miles but we do 4 laps one way and 4 the other so we can check our mileage. Someone suggested moving pennies in one pocket to another but I thought M&M would be a bit more fun. So much for losing weight??!!

Our track is covered with SNOW now so we have to brave the shrinking sidewalks or street.

Good Morning Walkers

Welcome to the days of taper maddness. I think we need to keep an eye on those wild and mischevious pretty princesses.

I went to the gym and did 3 miles on the treadmill followed by a little plying in the pool. Is anyone besides me put on a couple of darn pounds since ToT? I was planning on dropping a few. Oh well I guess I won't be discovered for the next James Bond Flick.

How is everyone feeling? I know Robert's shins are still an issue and Bill's body is in denial.

If I get a little nutty for taper maddness, who would know. Maybe I will just act normal, like Nancy.

Hi WISH Walking Wonders:

Hope all are doing well with the approach of Taper and Christmas Madness.

Optical Panda-- Although I have not been training for the half marathon, I am in the midst of Taping Madness. With 4 kids, 10 neices and nephews, etc, the ole Christmas preparation is always a fun time of year. Trying to wrap and tape all those packages is crazy (we aren't big on the gift bags) and also reminds me why I went into law instead of neurosurgery. My previously dislocated and smashed fingers (thanks in part to my thriving early life sports careers) just don't have great dexterity.

How is everyone feeling? I know Robert's shins are still an issue and Bill's body is in denial.

Just to correct. Its probably me that is in denial. The body has been clearly talking to me for a few years. I am just not a good listener sometimes.

But Darlin, I'm a southern gentleman and and an old warrior, I can't whip a pretty princess. Perhaps a smile and a bit of encouragement and even carrying a princess the last few miles but no whips. Now Robert and Bill I can use the lash there just fine.

I'm way to big a WUSS to live in Canada. I freeze solid below 40 degrees. I'm more a warm and cozy than a brisk and invigerating temp kinda guy.

Well what do you think a Fu Man Chu, or a Jazzy beard to make me more swarthy?

Maria and Kim: I was just a little too old for the hotties you mentioned. But Nancy and I must be long lost sisters......we both had it bad for Paul Revere and the Raiders when we were teeny boppers!

I have been very bad lately. Last night I was all set to make atatomically complete gingerbread men (and maybe even a woman or two), but I had too much trouble with the dough and had to resort to plain boring round cookies instead.

Snowed out from getting to the pool today. It has been snowing for the last week as we have received about a few feet. It is still dumping and is only 30 degree high and low of 13 for next couple of days. Ugly

I can't wait for heat. I will NEVER complain if it is too hot. Always will complain about too cold. Working on trying to not be up here next winter.

I go and get my new orthotics today. Hopefully they help???

Dave: Just bring your hammer and pound some nails
