Walk Up Waitlist Start Time

Hi! I recently scheduled a trip in December and unsurprisingly was unable to secure any ADRs in Hollywood Studios. I was looking specifically for Oga’s and Sci Fi Drive In, which I noticed both have the walk up waitlist option in MDE. I have alerts in on TP and Mouse Dining so fingers crossed, but in the event those don’t work how early can I join the walk up waitlist? Do you have to be in the park to do so because I noticed the option was open in MDE this morning before the park even opened. It won’t make or break the trip if we don’t get in as we’ve done them both before, I just want to make sure I give us the best shot at making it in off the waitlist.

I’ll say that I stalked the walk up option for Topolinos during my trip a few weeks ago, and not once that week did it show availability. I eventually got a reservation the night before we left. Ok basically saying not to get your hopes up for this option unless you hear of others using it successfully for the specific restaurant. Just because the option exists in the app doesn’t mean they will open for walk ups.
