Walk to Universal?

I am staying at Four Points Studio City hotel in Sept. I was wondering if I can walk to Universal?
More of a safety question. I like to get up early and be there at rope drop. I can't quite figure out how far it is. I've read .2 to 1 mile.

The hotel is at 5905 Intl Dr.

Any thoughts?

Yes, the hotel is walking distance to Universal. The hotel is located .9 miles from the parks. Plan on a 15-20 minute walk on sidewalks to the parks. Several of our guests have done it. Of course, we also offer a complimentary scheduled shuttle as well.

One block west of the hotel is Universal Blvd (the corner with Wet n Wild). Turn right on Universal Blvd and you will be headed directly to the main entrance of Universal Orlando. Google maps or another site may assist you in seeing where we are in relation to the park. It is a very easy walk (weather permitting!!).

Nice to see people at local hotels are monitoring these boards. I've stayed at Four Points and really enjoyed it. We didn't walk to the parks because we have a car and free parking with our annual passes but we could see it wouldn't be hard to do.

If I stay there again I'll know enough to ask for a floor that has an ice machine, though you could say it was good exercise lugging ice back and forth between floors.
