Walk? SSR to DTD

Hi,
I thought I read on here that it was indeed possible to walk from SSR to DTD, but when I called for dining the CM I spoke to said it was possible but not very easy. We just want to eat at Boatwright's for breakfast without a ton of hassle (we will not have a car). I thought we could walk to DTD then take the boat to POR. The CM did say that the launches for PO started at 9 am and that she assumed the same for SSR. Thanks in advance.

The walk can't be TOO far. But, I've read here where you can take a boat across to DTD.

When we stayed at Disney Institute the walk was only about 10 minutes. I'm not sure if there is still a walkway though.

Check out the trip review by Pam&Joe -- Joe says it took the three of them 8 minutes to walk from SSR to DTD. Can't be too bad a walk then.

There are four options to get from SSR to DD.

It's an easy walk along the promenade by the lake. This is accessed behind the buildings in the Congress Park area of the resort. It's about a 10 minute walk from the closest building.

The buses run about every 20 minutes all day from SSR to DD. It's about a 10-15 minute trip.

Personal transportation can easily be used- about a 10 minute trip to get out of SSR and get parked at DD.

There is a boat- shared with OKW- that runs from 11:00am until 11:00pm. From 11am until 4:00pm, it runs hourly and then every 30 minutes after 4.

If you want to get to breakfast, I'd suggest walking from SSR to the bus stop at DD/Marketplace and then taking the bus to PO ... OR ... walk from SSR to the DD marina and take the boat to PO (assuming the boat has begun making it's runs at the time you want to go).

The walk from Congress Park to Marketplace takes about 10 minutes and that is not pushing it!

Just back from SSR. The walk from the furthest building at Congress Park to DTD using the walkway took less than 15 minutes with 2 toddlers. Taking the boat from DTD and walking from the dock took 20 minutes. The bus from SSR to DTD was less than 5 minutes. Sure wish we had stuck with the busses.
