I had a little catching up to do, but am soooo excited you got a slot for one of D~'s bags!!! I missed the timing and am so bummed. But I'll try in September if I'm more alert then! haha

Those shoes are ADORABLE!!!! Every last pair! You are so talented. And I would definitely leave the letters white as they look great against the rainbow colors. Less work so you can move on to more shoes. I can see a business emerging here!

It is so exciting to share in your excitement about your trip. Fall is such a great time of year to go. I do hope the desert party opens up soon for you and Mo and anyone else trying to get into it. Those stinkers! Let it go….let it go...

Very cool shoes! I love the Figment. Cute! I'd probably just leave the letters white, unless you maybe have something light and sparkly (silver, maybe?) Bear in mind that I have zero artistic talent.

Yes! I know what I want, after much much MUCH thought I have to go with my first thought, which may be kinda boring, but I really just want a Mickey/Minnie love bag! Truth is that Mickey is my fave and I just love Mickey & Minnie when they are kissing and all in love <3

It was hard to decide. I really wanted to go with a more obscure character or secondary character or something she hasn't done. But my love really does lie with that mouse. So I figured I'd do that this time and next time I get on the list I'll do something different!

The shoes are just acrylic paint actually! You just paint away and then scotch guard after they dry, that's it! And it's not too hard to do, you can paint over mistakes. It takes a while to do the edging is all!

Right now I have a list I'm working through of shoes... Today I did another Mickey/Minnie pair and a Rapunzel pair (pics tomorrow) and next up is a Donald/Goofy pair for Loris daughter, and some classic mickeys for me, Lori and Jackie, and then Donald's (I think she wants Donald, I may have assumed!) for D~ and some Malificent ones for a friend here!

I am so loooooving these!! Haha, my only issue is I need an adjustment now from hunching over so much! Lol...

Bummer you missed it, but it was crazy! All the spots gone in seconds! Hopefully next time around though! Sept is not too far and she does auctions some times! I'm so pumped I made it and still can hardly believe it!

I was at Target yesterday, and I tried on a pair of their canvas shoes, they weren't too bad, so I am going to bring my inserts back with me to see if they will fit. If so, I may have shoes coming to you quicker than I thought.

If there is any way you can get his butt on the back of one and the top of his angry face on the back of the other (like on the back where you put the mouse ears??? You will do great!!! It's just paint, you can always paint over it. The tees are easy if you're trying painted ones as well, its all in the stencil!

Tomorrow is our ADR day! I am excited but the past couple of weeks have been pretty horrible and stressful so it has kinda overshadowed everything else. Mom and I revised the list....AGAIN....because we have to make some budget cuts But, I'm still pretty happy with our choices Now we just have to get the ressies!!!!

I can't believe ADR day is finally here! Ours is next week!! Yeee!! Stinks about cutting things out but once you're there you won't even care! You will be too busy having fun and just enjoying being in THE World!!

It's official. I'm obsessed!

Seriously, my local Walmart will need to order white ked-like shoes solely because of me!! But what do I care? Because I am having sooo much fun!!

So far I am up to 7 pairs done, and one more I will probably be finished with tomorrow and two more pairs on the horizon after that!

A couple of those were still drying and therefore missing their final touches, such as polka dots on Minnie's bow!

I feel like I am getting better too! And faster!! I bought some higher quality brushes and that made a huge difference.

The Red Mickey/Minnie pair is for Lori (STLMickeyMom) and the other Mickey/Minnie pair is for her daughter Maddie, and the Donald/Goofy ones are for her daughter Hannah! Lori has quickly become a good long-distance friend of mine. We get so tickled when we start texting Disney stuff back and forth and today I got a super fun surprise when she had to Face Time me to let me know how much she liked the Donald/Goofy shoes!! It was so fun to talk and see each other! Granted I was at home most the day and had ZERO makeup on and probably looked like a bum, and had my Maddie crawling all over me as well, lol, but it was still so sweet. How I wish our trips would overlap! We will miss each other by 1 day!! She leave the day before we arrive! BUMMER! Next time...

Anywho... the Tangled pair are for Jackie's daughter Charlotte (Jackiemarie21) and I have some for Jackie I should get to tomorrow!!

In other fun news, I found some adorable Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First hats at WalMart today, and I already knew I'd be doing a Disney Junior outfit for the girls for our Hollywood & Vine breakfast, so I grabbed the hats an a couple coordinating pieces that I plan to paint on!



Sorry for the awful photo, I must have been excited or something! But Maddie's is the Doc outfit, and I plan to do a silhouetted Doc on the shirt and something on the skirt as well. Same for Olivia, using Sofia.

The girls absolutely LOVED the hats, and are so pumped for all these fun things they get to dress up in!!

I also grabbed a couple glow wands in the $1 section, one is Doc and one is Sofia for Fantasmic that night!

I am soooo much fun seeing everyone getting to do their ADRs!! Ours will be Wednesday, and I am about to take a look at my schedule and decide what times I want to aim for, so fingers crossed!! Oh, and some pixie dust for those of you who are tomorrow and in the coming few days!!

Hahaha... I know you can do it, because I saw your above shoes and they are FANTASTIC!!!! Major talent there!!!

I would love my shoes to be just like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/161833135/mickey-loves-minnie-hand-painted-vans Except with all of the red portions being blue - but I love how the dots are outlined in black (I think it makes them stand out more) and the little black lines here and there. And I really love how the red goes around the lace portion/around the ankle part... so I would love that part blue too. I love how the remainder of the shoe is white - I like the simplicity of that. Then, of course is butt on the back of one shoe and just his angry eyes/top of his head peeking over the top of the other... Kind of like this:

As for doing your business on FB... I have been very successful there. I started off on Etsy though - and I was there for about a year +. I think Etsy is imparative to build a good customer base - many people will just go there and do a search. I opened my FB fanpage about a year later, and evenutally I moved my entire business there and put my Etsy shop on permanent vacation - due to the fact that I couldn't take any more custom orders as I was full. Looking at your talent and busy-ness, I suspect the same thing may happen to you.

If you need any help setting anything up, please let me know, I would be happy to help out.

Also - be VERY careful about posting your "business" here on The Dis... Never mention your store name here (when you get one), and from here forward, I would take any order details (like mine above) into a PM format. The Dis is very adament about making sure there is no soliciting here. If you've ever noticed in my thread - you can read the entire thing from top to bottom and inside out, and you will never find mention of my busness name or how to find me. It's just not worth it to me to lose my friends here. I only mention this, because I had to learn the hard way, and I don't want that to happen to you.

And, as a side note... I love how you and Lori have become such good friends! You would make an amazing duo.

Oh my goodness! Those shoes are awesome! It sounds like you're having a total blast doing them, too, which is so important. No doubt in my mind you could get a lot of orders for custom shoes!

The hats and outfits were a great score and will look so adorable on your girls. I'm glad they loved the hats. You guys will certainly be stylin' at Disney!
