Walk-ing Back to Disney! COMPLETED 10/16! A Fall 2014 PTR!

I'm blaming you for my crazy thoughts about making a few shirts for our trip... and for thinking about decorating our magic bands when they come. I draw the line at shoes though!!! Seriously, all your shirts have turned out so well! :worship: I am totally jealous of people who can get something accomplished while their kids are around. I am not one of them. I started making a list of 3 things to get accomplished each day and I'm lucky if I cross 2 of them off! :rotfl: Oh well!

Lol! You should totally try the shirts! So easy, really! Especially if you start with just trying a solid outline! If you google Disney silhouettes you'll find many great ones!

Very excited to see all of your outfits in one post. I've just started shopping for our kids for our March trip. One of my favorite parts! :)

Me too!! Shopping for your trip is the BEST way to wait for your trip, lol... I am gonna start taking pics of the outfits soon! Finishing up a few things so they'll all be done! I need to run a few things through the dryer too that got wrinkled and I'll probably just start packing them away as I go!

You really are doing an AMAZING job!!! I wish i had time to make stuff.. I just dont. :sad1: you are going to have the cutest, best dressed family in all of Disney!!! I am EXCITED FOR YOU!!!! :cheer2: :cool1: pixiedust:

Aww shucks! You know I would be happy to help you out with anything! You are not exaggerating when you say you're busy! But thanks to Tess you will have the cutest kids in Disney too!! Squeee! I can't wait for everyone to start going! I'm ready for TRs again!

I can't wait to see all of the outfits together! Your girls are going to be the best dressed at Disney for sure! Halloween tickets are fun and Mickey mail is always great! Now just imagine when you get your Magic Bands...:yay: Did you decide on decorating your bands? I feel like there was mention of that at some point!

Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing all the outfits come together too!

Mickey mail!!! I'm expecting 3 things verrrrrry soon too!! Squeeee!!!

Yes! Bands!! Eeep! I'm gonna paint them with acrylic paints and seal with nail polish! Can't wait to do that!!

Hey-low my friends! I am just coming off a wonderful weekend spend with the hubs. The kiddos went to Mimi's for the weekend, and we had a wonderful date night, in which my hubby planned a surprise date, and then a date day, that we filled with spontaneous fun, and sleeping in!! :rotfl:

Let's start with surprise date night! The hubs and my BF's hubs planned a surprise date for us! They took us to some hip restaurant in town that, while was very cool, turned out to be a bit of a bust. It was fancy-food with teensy portions and I ended up eating only bread, and the bill was $50...lol, bless his heart, he tried. And it really was a neat place, I am still glad we went, and of course, the company was fantastic.

Afterwards we headed downtown to the riverwalk to stroll and ended up realizing it was "San-Japan" convention weekend, thus LOTS and LOTS of people were dressed up in various costumes, mainly anime. I did see an AMAZING Periwinkle, but she walked by so fast I didn't get a chance to ask for a pic... we did, however, run into a foursome even cooler...

THE GHOSTBUSTERS!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

One of the hubs favorite franchises EVER...so he was pretty stoked that they happily stopped for a photo, despite being tired after 12 HOURS at the convention!

Also, we went to the Disney Store, again, because I wanted to grab another mini-Tsum! I wanted either Dumbo or Stitch, but MAN! They were CLEANED OUT! They had soooo many when I went a couple weeks back, now they were just a few. So I ended up getting Chip!

Squeeeeeee! They are just too stinkin' cute!!! :p

Here's a normal date night pic, this was pre-drinking, lol..

We spent all of Sunday doing things that are hard with the kids...we slept in until after 11, we had lunch using a coupon for 2 we had, we played mini-golf, went to a movie together, and ended the night making some steak and shrimp plates! :cheer2: Yay for a fun day with the hunny!

We also spent a nice chunk of time scoping out SHOES!! As I mentioned before, I was thinking of purchasing the Vionic Orthaheel shoes, I was pretty nervous to spend that much without trying them though, and thank goodness, I found a nearby store that carried them, because I hated them! They were not comfy for my flat feet at all. In fact, my foot was loosing circulation because they were too tight, I had to go up 2 sizes to find a pair that wasn't tight, and then they were giant.

We ended up going to a few places to try different walking sandals and I FINALLY found the pair I want!!

They are Teva's and I love them! They have lots of support, and the arch support is great, but they also have a nice cushion as well. Plus, I love all the straps because it keeps the sandals in place nicely, and they are waterproof and have tons of grip! Yay! They were $79 at the fancy sports store we were at, so I looked them up on Amazon and found them for $45!! Woot! I will be purchasing in a couple weeks!! ::yes::

So glad to find something I was comfortable in! I am pretty sure I will just wear these the entire trip and not even bother with the sneakers I have, with the super-thick Thorlo socks I would probably be hot, I like the sandals better. When they come in I plan to test them out some, and decide if I want to take my sneaks too...I am ordering some nice memory foam inserts for those, just in case.

Then finally, today I got some special Mickey Mail from my pal Lori!!

:dance3:

What a fun package to open! She was sweet enough to send me down some Frozen jelly bellys that I could not find here in Texas, and I plan to squirrel those away for the girls travel snacks, and then a special surprise was the Olaf magnet! I did show the girls that today as soon as I picked them up! Olivia immediately said "Oh wow, I will draw an Anna and Elsa to hang on the magnet on the fridge!" Clearly, we all love it!!

Tomorrow I have plans for a friend to come over and help me work on more shirts! So I am just about done. The only thing really left is to piece together everyone costumes!! EEEEEE!

68 DAYS LEFT! And FP's in exactly one week, next Monday night! :cool1:

SO excited, I have a couple tweaks to make to my FP selections, but I am basically ready! Bring it!

Then today, somet

What a FUN weekend!:cool1::cool1: I love that you got a picture with the Ghostbusters and I love the picture of you two on your date.
I NEED those jelly beans. They are so cute!
That is awesome that you were able to find the sandals for such a lower price on Amazon.
I really hope our local Disney store has those Tsum Tsums soon. They are just so cute. And I would love to see them in person.

Oh you'll love the Tsum's! They are so cute and squishy!!! :hyper:

Plus the very bottoms of the mini ones is made from the same stuff they use to make screen-cleaning cloths, so both times I bought them the store CM's asked if I knew that the Tsum's had magical powers to clean my phone screen, lol! :rotfl:

Sounds like a really fun weekend! Glad you got to do that! :thumbsup2

Also, yay for finding shoes you like! :cool1:

What an awesome weekend!!! Loved seeing pics, and it looks like you had a great time!

BUmmer about the Orthaheels... I swear by them... I have the flattest Flintstone feet ever, but I also suffer from Plantar Fascitis. The first pair I had, I did have to break in, but now I cannot be comfortable for long in anything else. Did you try on the Tide II, or a different style? Just wondering, because all I've ever worn from their line is the Tide II. Regardless, I am happy to hear that you found something that will work for you... Now you need to get them and break them in LOTS before you go... And don't forget to pack the moleskin... It was a LIFESAVER for me last year when I had that dumb blister!

Yay for goodies from Lori!!! I am so excited for you guys - your trip is getting so close!

D~

You should! I swear they're easy, the kids
Could even do them!

How can i justify this???
I am going shopping at lunch today.. More for school supplies maybe i can pick up some stuff to do while there... :confused3

I loved your weekend!!!! Congrats on getting away!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

ghostbusters is the best. Huge fan!!! sleeping until 11?!?! Oh does that sound fantastic!!!! i hope to get a weekend getaway one year! i will probably have to wait until the kids are 18... :rotfl2:

Aww, what a wonderful just the two of you weekend! That picture of you both is fantastic!! And how fun to get a Ghostbusters pic! I love conventions like that and seeing everyone dressed up.

Thumbs up on getting the Chip! He's pretty awesome! Half of my favorite characters! And congrats on the Tevas. I have heard good things about them. I would still bring your sneakers on the trip though. Always good to have a back up pair just to be safe!

Wow sparkly jelly beans! How crazy and neat are those! And just seriously, FP+ next week and online check in?!! How bananas is that? We're going to be there in no time! Weeeeeeee!!!!:banana::banana::cloud9:

What a fun weekend! I always love it when the hubbies plan a date night. It's the thought that counts, right? Glad you had sooo much fun! And I envy your ability to sleep in. I wasn't allowed to sleep in as a teenager and have never been able to sleep in as an adult either. No matter when I go to bed. :confused3 I CAN, however, lay there and daydream for an extra hour or so…:rotfl:

I'm glad you found shoes that feel great for you. I was thinking the $74 was a great price, then, whap! Amazon! Outstanding price!! I would for sure take the sneakers too, though, just in case your tootsies need a bit of a break.

Your FP+ time is soooo close now. I'm sure you'll get everything you want. You know the drill by now, so I'll just say good luck and I can't wait to hear all about it!

Have a great day!:flower3:

I'm glad you found some awesome shoes for a great price. I don't know if I could do sandals at the parks, but I'm thinking I should check out those socks!

Glad you liked your Mickey mail! I thought that magnet was too cute!

Chip is so cute! They looks so soft and squishy!

Sounds like such a fun weekend with the hubby!!! :goodvibes

And very exciting that you found comfy vacation shoes!!

I think my feet were too fat for the orthaheels... they literally were turning colors in them, and yes it was the tide II that I tried. I could tell they offer a lot of support, and that is what the tevas felt like too but with a little cushion as well. And I can adjust the straps to fit my fat feet! :lmao:

Yes! Def packing the moleskin! Especially after Olivia got so many blisters last year. I rarely ever get a blister, my pain is more in my lack of arches, but I would rather be prepared, especially with these strappy sandals!

Getting close.... yes, realizing how much is left to do!! :scared1: But it should keep me busy so the time flies, right!?!?!?

How can i justify this???

Just tell the kids you're having a craft day and making tee shirts! Then let them each design their own, and voila!!

So happy to have a weekend of mommy time! LoL... and the Ghostbusters are pretty awesome!!

You're right, I will def be bringing my sneakers too, better safe than sorry when it comes to my feet!! :thumbsup2

Totally the thought that counts! And its nice not to have to do anything, he even planned all the kids babysitting and everything, which was nice!

I dont suffer from not being able to sleep in, lol... my girls are awesome and let me sleep in a lot, Olivia just makes breakfast for her and maddie and they watch tv until I wake up. I don't know how I got so lucky!

Hope you're right on FPs!!

Glad you liked your Mickey mail! I thought that magnet was too cute!

Chip is so cute! They looks so soft and squishy!

I actualy prefer sandals, my feet get hot, and I practically live in flip flops, so for me I doubt I will use the sneakers, but I am gonna take just in case!

The magnet was adorable!! The kids were SO excited. I was rushing so bad, so I didn't get to throw any fun pixie dust in your package, but I will send some fun stuff along soon! :woohoo:

Sounds like such a fun weekend with the hubby!!! :goodvibes

And very exciting that you found comfy vacation shoes!!

Yeppers!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

What a fun date night/weekend! Isn't it funny how Disney works its way in somehow?

I've been looking at shoes too. I love my Toms and have worn them to all the theme parks this summer. I've been looking at Tevas as another option. Those are super cute and look comfy!

Can't wait to hear all about FP+ day!!!
