Walk-ing Back to Disney! COMPLETED 10/16! A Fall 2014 PTR!

What a fun date night/weekend! Isn't it funny how Disney works its way in somehow? I've been looking at shoes too. I love my Toms and have worn them to all the theme parks this summer. I've been looking at Tevas as another option. Those are super cute and look comfy! Can't wait to hear all about FP+ day!!!

The toms don't really work for me, which stinks because they're cute. Oh well. Tevas aren't really my style but they will be soon if they work! Fingers crossed!

I bought a pair of Keen sandals from Zulilly because the girls at work swear by them. Best bargain ever! They are so comfortable - although mine are bright lime green

Then I decided Charlie needed a pair of sandals and bought him a pair from Amazon. He loves them so he bought a second pair. He's been doing his walking on the trail in them.

Zulilly currently has women's Keen sandals again, so I bought another pair - purple this time!

I will take my sneakers with me to WDW, just in case, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be wearing the Keens most days.

Gonna go look, love my keens. The only thing I don't like about my pair is that I have to wear socks with them... They aren't the regular ones, they're the type where the straps are a bit further apart... So I have to wear socks to keep my pinky toe in check... I'd love to get a pair where I wouldn't need socks. I think I'll go peek at zuilly.

I've just been lurking on this PTR for awhile because I found it late in the game, but I had to come out of lurkdom to say:

I have those Tevas in light gray! They are nice and comfortable, with support (but not TOO much), and are EXCELLENT for getting them to fit to your feet. I got mine from Zappos and ordered two different sizes (since they pay shipping both ways) and then kept the ones that fit better (I checked, but Zappos is $80 right now - they were on sale when I got them almost two years ago). My only complaint is that they rub the side of my big toe on my right foot - weird, right? And they don't rub in a blister way, they rub in an "extra callous" way.

Anyway, I'll go back to lurking - but I really think you'll like those shoes!

I saw that! I was gonna check it out but I didn't have the extra money to spend this week so I purposely stayed away! I tried on some keens too at the sporting store and I liked the feel of the bottom of them, but the only style they had was the kind that covered a lot of my foot and the parts that touched the top of my foot wasn't as comfy as the Tevas.

I am glad you both seem to like them, Chris hiking in them is a good sign too, I know they are similar to the Tevas so that's good for me.

Yea, that was the issue I had with the keens too, thats why I liked the Tevas more, they seemed more open toed. I think I read the sale on Z was until tomorrow.

Well I have been getting things DONE this week! So proud of myself!!!

It started the other day when I invited a friend over and asked her to help me bang out the paining on clothes I needed done. I was able to finish up the Lilo Dresses, My Kissing shirt, and make mine and Chris' Mickey bar shirts!! Whew...



Still a lot to do: Finish the Frozen shirt for Chris, Chris' kissing shirt, and a lion king shirt for him, then the girls mickey bar shirts and then I think I am done painting!!

Also, we have been working on Halloween costumes, I hope to get the rest of the things to finish those next weekend.

In the meantime I have been working on some random projects here and there, I finally ordered my "Snack-Port" flipbook, should be ready next week. I updated our Stroller Plate to reflect the new resort and dates:

I also made the new letter from Mickey for the girls first night. When we get to the hotel we will hopefully be able to check in early (fingers crossed) and change before we head to the parks, so I hope to leave this out with the girls gifts of PJs as we leave the room so they see it when we get back that night. If we cant get into our room yet I may have to pull a fast one on them and go to the room first alone, while the kids check things out... lol

I also was going to print off some new envelopes for Mousekeeping, but then I found this awesome money tent on pinterest, and I used it instead! I like it bc it saves me a lot of ink, as I just need one, and I plan to tape it down to the dresser so the Mousekeepers don't try to take it. The free template can be found HERE.

I cant wait to try the MNSSHP. I have ALWAYS wanted to do it. We almost did last year, but we decided to go for August and experience Disney the "regular" way first, without any seasonal stuff. Halloween is my fave though, so I know this will be so fun for me!

Raina gave me a project for your girls too so I need to get that done, Had to run up to Akron today, I told Raina about a hat I got and she wanted one...so it's in my bag. Good thing I did the fast passes , Raina just told me she thought we did that tonight and she has the magnet, I don't So we wouldn't have gotten anything we wanted.
I am always afraid to wear sandals or flip flops in parks. Afraid some clod will step on my feet! And now that I am getting neuropathay I am very carefull with my feet.
Also working on another purse Raina wanted...got to get to it only 60 days to go yikes

Go ahead and borrow away! I'd be happy to mail you the letter, I did it in Microsoft publisher, so you can just change the text, if you'd like.

It is weird about my FP reminder. The only thing I can figure is bc originally we were booked 2 days later and we added 2 days on... So our magnet has the old date. I don't care so much as long as the system works for me!

I did not realize this will be your first MNSSHP! Oh my, you are going to LOVE it!! It is the best time ever! The CMs really get into it making it all that much more fun, and the parade is my absolute favorite, and I'm a huge parade fan!! And of course Hallowishes is fantastic. I know you know all this, but I'm sort of reliving it in my mind while typing. HaHa And when you add a fun DIS meet, it just doesn't get any better than that!

Can't wait to see your kissing shirts. And I think I may steal that mouskeeping tent idea. We usually do the individual envelopes too, but then I have to remember to put them out every day. Good idea to tape it down too.


ETA: I forgot to ask you….where do you get your t-shirts? I love the V-neck for you. I always get mine at JoAnn's and there are no V-neck for the ladies.

Eeeeeee! The Halloween party sounds so great! I already know I'll love it! I'm a big parade fan too and I'm looking really forward to that and the fireworks!

Yes! Another good thing about the "tent", I almost forgot to stick my envelope out several mornings, hopefully seeing it there will help me! Lol!

I get my shirts different places, but that v neck is actually just Walmart! $4-5 I believe. Normally I buy v necks at old navy and pay more though bc they're longer like I like. But for the bulk of my shirts for customs I did a big jiffy shirts order online. They're sooooo cheap, like craft store pricing, but you can get soft thinner ones and diff styles.
