Walk-ing Back to Disney! COMPLETED 10/16! A Fall 2014 PTR!

Wow! Those Dr. Who shoes are spectacular!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes
Fabulous job!

Kids! Not as easy to bribe into a good time at that age. But atleast everyone else had a wonderful time and that she came around. You win some, you lose some and get to try again next year. As long as she is good at Disney

Happy birthday to Maddie! party::cake::bday:

Sorry she was in such a mood for her party. Guess someone tipped her off to the "terrible twos" and she was practicing. :confused3

I love her little pigtails, though! Cute! :thumbsup2

Sorry was out of town for a couple days......aaaaaaah 2 year olds so much fun.....Not! I wanted to drown Raina when she was that age....:cool1:

Sorry she was in such a mood for her party, sometimes I think we over think these parties ,more for the moms than the kids.....lol or grandmoms!!!

Those Dr Who shoes are so cute, wonder how to do that on a guys shoe .......wait maybe a T shirt. Frank is a big time Dr fan. Ok now I have to
go check his magic band colors........I think he needs a Dr Who magic band!

Now see what you started!!!!:rotfl2:

Update: I changed his AoA band to blue so I can do Dr who....lol

Hey all- sorry I haven't replied to anyone, I've been reading along but haven't had the energy to reply. I am SICK!! Ughhhh...

Like so sick that I don't ever remember being this sick. :( started Saturday and that was probably the worst night of my life! There was a period of hours where I literally could not move! My body was soooooooo sore and achey. My legs throbbed all night long and I couldn't sleep at all, I ended up even getting sick to my stomach that night and had bouts of fever related symptoms where I was freezing the burning up. All this while the hubby had to work, so I also had the kiddos. Luckily he was able to stop by the house to put them to bed!

Sunday was a little better, no more achey body. Just a very sore throat and head congestion. Still felt pretty awful.

Today I still have the sore throat. Hurts so bad to swallow and my head is congested still, and now I think I'm getting a runny nose. On top of all that I feel like my face is maybe swollen! It seemed very red and puffy, like maybe I'm retaining water?! Who knows..

Anyway, PRAYERS would be much appreciated! All you moms know how hard it is to be sick and run your home and family. My kids have basically ran wild the last two days and my house is a train wreck! The hubs is off today and tomorrow though so I will at least have help!

Thanks in advance for the prayers and well wishes! Hopefully I will be back to update soon!

Take some vitamin C and hold your head over a steaming bowl of water to clear your sinuses......blesses be with you!!

Yuck! No fun feeling sick while needing to watch the littles! Sounds like a snuggle down Movie Marathon time to me. FYI Jake and the neverland pirates is on netflix instant streaming. There are also a few disney movies as well.

Sending well wishes your way and hoping your bug stays away from the rest of the family.

Oh No! I am so sorry your not feeling well...

Hopefully soon you will be back on your feet. PRAYERS!

First of all, I'm so sorry you're sick! Being sick is awful all by itself but mustering up the energy to care for kids while being sick is just so much worse! Hope you are feeling better!

Love the shoes - AGAIN!

I'm sorry Maddie was grumpy for most of the party. My boys seem to do that too - grump at the beginning and then cheer up right before it's time to go! :confused3

Sounds like you got the Chucky Cheese cooties! I'm so sorry to hear about your illness! Yes, we've all been there done that, so hope it helps that so many of us know exactly what you're going through and can commiserate with you. Glad hubby was home to help out for a couple of days.

I agree…we've missed your bubbly excitement on here and hope you're back to normal soon. Prayers to you!

Joining in and am all caught up!

12 days, how exciting! I think you're going at a great time, should be low crowds! Your plans sound great!

I am just a little jealous of your Duffy purchases from Feb! I really want a Duffy and you got yours for so cheap!!

Omg LOVE your costume ideas. I am not ashamed to say as an adult with no children that I think Doc McStuffins is great :)

I love those painted shoes and I am so impressed with the work you've done, so awesome!!

Congrats on all your ADRs!

I think you will enjoy Pop, it is a really nice resort!

Yay for getting to see Hanson, that's awesome!

Um what is the brownie paw and why have I never heard of it before?! I've never had the Jalapeno pretzel but the cream cheese pretzel is to die for! Mmm and the butterfinger cupcake is so yummy too! Love your snack-port ;)

Hope you are feeling better

Oh, so sorry the birthday didn't go exactly as planned, but the pictures are great and that cake was adorable!! I'm glad she perked up eventually. No nap usually spells disaster for most 2 year olds, that's for sure! She looked so cute, though, and I'm sure, as you say, it will be a good story to tell later. Funny about the clothes love. So not typical for a two year old!

Thanks for the info on the socks. I was telling Dan about them last night and he said get as many as you think you'll need. I told him that my shoes may not fit with them and he said to go to our running store and get new shoes once the socks arrive. He's always wanting my feet to feel better. Honestly, he has the flattest feet on the planet and has zero problems with them. I'm glad for him, but it is so unusual. But I'm so blessed that hetotally gets how hard bad feet are to live with. I'm sure your hubby feels the same way.

Those latest shoes are amazing! I know your client had to love them to pieces!! You have really found a wonderful niche that is both in demand as well as fun for you to do. That's a great combination.

Can't wait to see the pics of Maddie's new outfits!

Yes, things with a 2 year old rarely go according to plan, but it's all good. I genuinely was surprised that the only thing that warranted a big emotion from her was clothes!

Glad to hear you are gonna get some socks! They said "4-6 weeks" for delivery of my free pair but it came in less than 1 week! Score!

Glad to see how many like the Dr Who shoes! :hyper:

Awwwww, sorry you had moody two year old instead of happy two year old, (wait, is there such a thing ) Evalyn seemed to spend her entire 18mo-4yr in a mood!!!!! :rotfl: The party looked like fun for the others though.

That's funny about the clothes. My kids immediately throw all clothes in a pile in search of toys!

I am gonna have to look into those socks. My paycheck on Thursday will be about $1000 bigger than normal due to all that extra work, so I am buying shoes and possibly socks.......(fun, I know!) I think I will also get the girls their anna and elsa dresses. I got myself a t-shirt at hot topic and one of the ladies that I work with is gonna make me a skirt. I might steal Lori's idea and make greg an olaf shirt.............

I have decided that since I have so many projects left to do, I am recruiting my kids. We will have a Disney movie night every other week until we leave (nothing fancy) mainly just an excuse to make them help me get crafts done :lovestruc Plus, I think that will give me a reason to make them watch some of the movies that they never choose for themselves......

Wooohooo for all your extra work paying off!! That's FANTASTIC!!! You should totally make an Olaf shirt for him! I saw a cute headband where you use pipe cleaners to make the stick in his head too!!

Good idea on recruiting crafters for the unfinished projects! :thumbsup2

Awww... sorry she wasn't super happy for her birthday. At least she perked up for the clothes. :rotfl: I love that! So cute.
How in the world did they get so many tickets? That is awesome.

And THOSE SHOES! I love them. I can just imagine, as a Doctor Who fan, what the reaction of the recipient was. They are awesome.

Haha, well the party we paid for she automatically got a ticket worth 1000 tickets, and then in the crazy machine thing they caught another 1000 ticket and then they ended up winning and gathering another 1000 on their own!! We only had 6 kiddos so we sprung for the priciest birthday package (you pay per child) and each kiddo had at least 60 tokens, it was NUTS!

Glad everyone seems to like the Dr Who shoes, me too even though I havent started that show yet!! I love the spacey background! :thumbsup2

The Doctor Who shoes are perfect. Great job. My youngest was never interested in toys for gifts. She would go nuts over shoes. She is 10 and still would prefer shoes.

You get loads of points for doing a Chuck E. Cheese party. At ours you can pay the difference for the prizes. So if there was a 4000 ticket prize and you only had 3000 tickets...they would charge you $10 bucks. Only a penny per ticket. I used to spend 30 bucks for tokens. I could have just put that toward the prize. Oh wait, then the kiddos wouldn't get to play the games.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Yea you could pay the difference at our CEC too! But we didnt have to, luckily, what they wanted they had enough for anyway, so yay! ;)

Those Doctor who shoes are wonderful!!!! Great Job!!!

THANKS! :cool1:

I KNOW!! I hope she does good at Disney, Lord help me if she pulls being scared of those characters! Especially after loving them all before!! But I really think she will be good. She knows we are going, we talk about "Di-Ne Worrrrrrl" all the time and she even gets excited for the commercials. She's so ready to go back!! :goodvibes

caption for Olivia...."hoooolllld up.....that is NOT mickey!" :rotfl:

i'm glad maddie found something that brought a smile to her face!

double digit dance!!! I can't wait!

:lmao: So true!! And yes, today is 106 days!! EEEEP!

Happy birthday to Maddie! party::cake::bday:

Sorry she was in such a mood for her party. Guess someone tipped her off to the "terrible twos" and she was practicing. :confused3

I love her little pigtails, though! Cute! :thumbsup2

Thank you!! And those were her first pigtails that I had enough hair to actually do on the sides of her head instead of the little horns at the top, lol.. :rotfl:

She had been practicing her terrible twos for a few months now, I'd say she has about perfected it...

Sorry was out of town for a couple days......aaaaaaah 2 year olds so much fun.....Not! I wanted to drown Raina when she was that age....:cool1:

Haha, I know the feeling of the dreaded terrible twos! Hopefully shell be good at Disney!!

I agree on the parties, but luckily I didn't let it phase me too much. I could tell by the morning we had it was likely to go down that way, and the show went on, no biggie.

Glad everyone is loving the Dr Who shoes, and YES!!! Dr Who magic band would be PERFECT!! They even have a little Dr Who area in the gift shop of the UK store in Epcot, so youll have to check it out! :thumbsup2

Take some vitamin C and hold your head over a steaming bowl of water to clear your sinuses......blesses be with you!!

Thanks so much! I did this! :thumbsup2

Eesh! Sounds terrible! I hope you are over the worst of it and get better soon! :flower3:

It was AWFUL!!!!!! :worried:

Yay! You're here!! :hyper: Thanks for all the feedback, and I know, that Brownie Paw was seriously an amazing discovery, we'd never heard of it either! The hubby just walked up with one! It was sooooooo good!!! You MUST try!

Guys!

Guuuuuuuyyyyyysssssss!

You have NO IDEA how sick I have been!! Seriously, proabably the sickest I have ever felt, ever!! It was sooo bad, I was basically paralyzed for like 4 days... like just a blob in my bed...

giphy.gif

I woke up Saturday with this and finally yesterday I went to my chiropractor first thing in the morning. I literally had a swollen face. He checked me out and everything was swollen, my tonsils you could feel through my neck, they were hug and painful. Ugh... he adjusted me and immediately I felt myself begin to drain, literally snot started pouring out of my nose, but it was amazing. Such a relief. I did some therapy and got electric stim and my beloved heat pack and all was wonderful. When I got home I gargled some more salt water, did another sinus rinse and took a nap, and like a miracle, I woke up and my swelling was GONE! Pain was GONE!

I was left with just a stuffy nose (which I still have) and a weird pimply/rash thing across my face neck, upper chest and back. Huh? I guess I had something pretty nasty going on in my body and whatever I did that morning basically forced it out in anyway it could! I have read and seen others who have been sick and ended up with rashes and stuff, but this is the first time I have experienced this. It sucks! It's irritating because my skin feels suppppperrrrr gross, and its so dry that it feels itchy, just from the dryness. But still, a million times better than what I had felt like for days, so whatever, I guess I will take it. Just hope it clear up some by Friday, we have a busy fathers day weekend planned!

Anyway, onto better, more fun things than snot, rashes, and the like.. :rotfl:

Here are some pics of Maddie's loot I promised! Including all her Disney outfits she got, the infamous swimsuit and cover up (which is what she saw first that warranted her reaction during gift opening) and her many Disney toys and her gift cards!

Also, I finished up some shoes yesterday and today!! :hyper:

Wreck it Ralph's for Lori, and a custom order of Little Mermaids!

Both so much fun to do, as usual! :cutie:

Onto Disney planning stuffs...

Today is 106 days away! :woohoo:

Almost to the DDD!!! :dance3:

But even closer to our Dalmation Day!! And I honestly don't ever remember watching it with the girls, so we figured on our 101 days we will have a movie night and watch 101 Dalmations! What fun! I have seen tons of cute ideas from other Dis-ers and Pinterest, so I am pretty excited to do this one, not to mention I haven't seen that movie in ages, so that's always fun! popcorn::

Also on the planning front...

I made two things, one is a sign for my room window that shows I am a Dis-er and one is sort of a badge I figured I could laminate and hang on my stroller or bag for in the parks!! They are certainly nothing special, but I thought it would be fun for all of us going in the fall to use them, since our trips overlap a lot, and that way if we see each other out we don't have to wonder if that who we think it is, and it can easily identify us!!

Let me know if yall like that idea, and these I made, if someone else would rather do something cuter, that would be cool too, I just sort of whipped these up. I left space to write our user names in them too! We may also want to include our real name! :)

I still haven't fixed my snack port, but hopefully will soon!

I also saw something fun someone had posted about in my FB group about printing off something special for CM's who go out of their way to do something special or outstanding for you. What a great idea, right!?? I mean, it really is the CM's that make your vacation magical, they are there doing every little thing, so why not thank them. I read an article and it said the #1 thing CM's like is for you to go to guest services and fill out a form stating they did something awesome, that goes in their employee files, but who wants to use Disney time to do that right? Well the article suggests taking down the CM's name and then when you get home you can email guest services the info! So done! I plan to carry a little note pad in our bag, or maybe just make note in my phone of CMs who deserve the recognition. I plan to tell them my intention to do that too! And then, they can't really accept tips or gifts (unless they are in a tipping position) so it was recommended to print off a few little cards that state something like "Thanks for making the Walk Family Vacation extra special!"

So, of course, I had to make some!

Feel free to use those for yourself too, and the Dis signs!

So there ya have it! Hopefully that makes up for my lack of updating for days!!!

Amazing!!!!
I love your CM cards and Dis signs. I would love to use them.
The shoes are SO cute!
And that is one birthday haul! She got some great stuff. So much fun!
I'm glad you are feeling better. It sounds likes a horrible illness and I am wondering how in the world you did so many awesome things! :)

Yes! Please use them! It makes the time I spent on them so much more worth it! :rotfl:

She did get quite the haul, perfect mix of clothes, toys and the gift cards I wanted for her! My family are all such great listeners! :):lmao:

Yea, I did most of this today, I could not do ANYTHING but read up on the dis and watch tv in between lots of napping while I was sick!
