So, I do have a few fun things for you today!! Guess what!?!?!?

I got some fun Mickey Mail today!!!

I love these adorable little booklets they send out to you!! Really gets you soooo excited! Last year I remember it was a Toy Story theme, and this year we have Incredibles, so that's fun.

I also LOVED that the inside read "Welcome back Walk Family" and even said something about coming back to AoA! Sooo neat how they are so personalized and they take the time to recognize you for returning. LOVES it!

Also, equally, if not MORE exciting is the fact that Lori, you probably know her as SLTMickeyMom, has been working on some fun, customized outfits for the girls! EEEEEEEP!

She finished some this weekend and sent me this little teaser that had me squealing out loud in the middle of a VERY crowded supermarket!



SERIOUSLY!?!?!? She won't let me see the rest until it gets mailed so I can see it in person!! I am sooooo SO SO excited! I can NOT wait!! Olivia and Maddie are going to be PUMPED!

I found a cute little necklace at our towns market days this weekend that I bought specifically to wear with Lori's creation...

And the gal is supposed to be making me a matching one for Maddie, bc they only had one. She is also working on two customized BIG OLE bows to go with this outfit! This is going to be like THE outfit!!! I will be taking MILLIONS of photos!! I love that its classic Mickey colors and it is gonna be soooo adorable!!!!!

We (Lori and I) have also been in talks for some other adorable outfits that may or may not include adorable ruffle bums and some seriously cute cow print... hmmm, wonder what that could be for?

I also may or may not be working up some of my favorite painted tee's for her!!

When I picked up my necklace I also did grab a couple simple little bows to match the blue/white yeti shirts. A girls gotta have her bows, after all... and Maddie still barely has hair, so, of course, hers needs the headband!

Those aren't "all out" or anything, but really, we will be hot and sweaty a lot, so no need to be perfect everyday!



Oh, and if you're wondering why the choice for the title of this post... one of Olivia's dance numbers for her recital this year is to Zip-a-dee-do-da!!! She was SO excited to get to dance to the "splash mountain song!"

Did you guys know she did dance? No? This will actually be her third recital and year doing it! She started at a little under 3 years old! Shall I just share a couple little pics then....

I had to show my DH the shoe pics I was reading it outloud to him and he couldn't believe it.

I just bought a pair of sketcher go walks for Disney I have been wearing them everywhere for about 5 days now. well they are very plain kind of tan, like the shoes in the picks....(shape I mean) Now my mind is thinking maybe I should paint them. I don't paint so not sure this is a good idea with my expencive shoes. but maybe I can try on a cheaper pair first and if they turn out look out sketchers.........

BTW....mom made the girls dresses with those same colors....we might have to work out a second "short" dismeet photo op to get the foursome together!!! How cute would that be?

WOW! So I have had a fun, Disney-filled couple of days and now I am like even more super-pumped for our trip!! Yesterday we hit 200 days until our trip and we celebrated with our first themed movie-night and watched a Disney classic that the kiddos had never seen, DUMBO!

I have to admit I barely remembered the movie myself, and watching it as an adult was interesting, haha. First off those other elephants are so MEAN! I hated them, and had a few choice words for them too… and then the whole “pink elephants on parade” sequence where Dumbo was drunk is so bizarre! I definitely didn’t know what was goin’ on there as a child!

Anywho, so I really didn’t have anything Dumbo on hand so I drew a little something and decorated the table…

​

Our menu was circus-inspired and consisted of: corn dogs, crinkle fries and root-beer floats, with caramel corn and peanuts for the movie!

​

We all had a great time enjoying the movie and the night!

Then, today, what was perhaps even more fun was mine and Chris’ adult’s night we had! But first, something else fun today…our customized maps came in!!

​

Yay! We did the “classic” look last time, so this time we went with the character ones! So adorable!

Anyway, onto this evening’s festivities…

First thing you need to know is the hubs and I have this couple we are friends with, Jen & Rueben, and Chris and Rueben work together on the PD. Anywho… Rueben and Jen LOVE Disney! Like looooooooooove it, like all of us! (They troll the Dis too) Well, a funny thing about Rueben is that he shares a love of the Dole Whip, like many of us, myself included, and a while back he did a bit of research and actually found the exact mix they use at Disney… well, he found and bought that mix! (Amazon, I believe…)

Obviously, you know where I am going with this… WE HAD DOLE WHIPS!!!

​

Basically, we got together for dinner, then DOLE WHIPS, which we all prefer swirled so we bought some Dairy Queen soft serve to layer it with, and then we had the most fun Disney night! Oh, and if you didn’t notice those are sooo Tiki-man cups from the Poly we ate them out of too!!

Jen busted out her vintage thrift store finds which included an amazing Disney record player, and some FREAKING COOL Disney records…

And we browsed some classic Disney mags…

​

We looked through their fun Disney collection of things, then we even pin traded! Finally, it all culminated in playing Disney’s Magic Kingdom board game!!!!

Talk about a fun night! I love that there are other grown ups out there who love Disney like all of us, and am lucky to have some we are friends with that live in the same town as us!

Naturally, we talked almost exclusively of Disney and both our upcoming trips the whole night… (they will be there memorial day weekend for the 24 hour party!) so now I am beyond SUPER-DUPER-PUMPED!!! I am like on a total Disney high!!

The best part: they sent us home with a to-go container of DOLE WHIP!!! YEEEEE! What great friends, huh? It’s okay, you can be a little bit jealous right now. I would be…

So basically, this Dole Whip was fantastic. Not as good as in the park, because nothing could be, but probably about as close as you could get to it at home, for sure! The taste was spot on! We all joked (but not really because we were totally serious) about looking into renting an ice cream machine so we could actually pipe it out and swirl it the way they do in Disney!! I am SOOOO looking into this because I had already been thinking about a MK themed birthday for Maddie this summer, and how awesome would it be to serve DOLE WHIPS!!!! Answer: Pretty darn awesome.

So yeah, a lot of Disney-goodness packed into these couple of days with much more to come, I’m sure!

Dumbo was actually pretty easy to draw!! I wish we'd have gotten the maps yesterday since I had no Dumbo stuff. Oh wells!
