Wish it was for vacation, but I’ll settle for the end of the work day!
I don't have a year (yet), but most likely, my retirement date will be July 5th (or close to that). Our fiscal year ends June 30th and most people's retirement dates are right after the 4th (since it's a holiday, so it's an extra day of payHow did you all pick your retirement date? Your birthday? Anniversary with the company? End of a year?
I have less than 10 years, but can't decide, and I know I don't need to yet, which of those I want to go with. Just curious what others have done.

December 31, 2020How did you all pick your retirement date?
Dec 31 is one of my possibilities (assuming I get a choice). It's just so "final".December 31, 2020
They are soooooo good. I’ve made tons of variations and they always are perfect.
2 sticks softened butter
1 c brown sugar
1 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
3 c flour
1/4 c cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Bah of Ghirardelli dark chips
3/4 cup walnuts (optional)
Cream butter and sugars. Mix in vanilla and eggs. Combine dry ingredients then mix in to wet. Stir in chips and nuts. 375 for 10 minutes on parchment. I use a medium cookie scoop. Makes about 3.5 dozen.
You can leave out cocoa and use any variation of chips or nuts, add a cup of peanut butter, swap vanilla for maple flavoring with pecans…
Yes it is, Sam. Over and out.. It's just so "final".
