Is the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour worth taking the time to do? We have enjoyed the Keys to the Kingdom and Backstage Magic tours at WDW very much and are considering the Footsteps tour for our upcoming trip to DL.

Thanks!:goodvibes

My hubby's a CM and we are there a couple times a month....and we still enjoyed it tremendously! We didn't learn anything new, but it was a fun experience and I would recommend it :) I think if DL was new to you, you would learn quite a bit.

A walk in Walt's footsteps always brings new information. Go with questions. I always do. The last time we went, we were the only two on the "walk." My husband and I had a field day with our guide and were treated like royalty!

loved it the best way to start your time at the park - we did it the morning of our 1st day back in Nov10

DH and I have also done the Keys to The Kingdom at WDW. DD is 13 now and I think she would enjoy one of the tours. I may surprise them with one. I can't remember how much the tour was. I didn't see prices on the Disney website. Anyone have a ballpark figure? I know I can call but...

It should be noted that, with the exception of an experience offered through Adventures by Disney's Hollywood Family Vacation, Disneyland Resort Guided Tours do not into backstage areas. This is in contrast to the Walt Disney World Resort, which offers several backstage guided tours.

We have been to DL a couple times with family buy have never done the tour. Is it worth the $$ dnd how long is it?

I did it earlier this month and found it interesting, I enjoyed learning more about the history and origins of the park. It was $62 I think? $60-something anyway, with lunch and a pin included. The tour itself was about 2 1/2 hours and then lunch after that.

Have now done this one and Keys and loved them both. Sure it doesn't take you behind the scenes the way the Keys tour does, but this one was more about Walt rather than just the park.

We have done all the tours at WDW and also this tour at DL. We did it in August 2009 and will do it again later this week. On our first time through, we had a CM who wasn't feeling well and was being evaluated that day. I think she had a panic attack and gave up with her boss taking over the last part of the tour.

We are trying it again this time to see if we get a better guide.

Also, there is a discount on the tour if you have a Disney VISA card. It was $102.40 for the two of us for the tour this week.

Just booked it for our trip! It was $51.20 with a DVC discount. Discounts are also offered for Disney Visa and, I believe, AAA. Regular price is $62.

Very excited to go!

Thanks for the price. I think I'm going to book for us. Thanks for the info on discounts too. We have AAA and Disney Visa so I'll see what will be best. :thumbsup2

What is tour about? I have tried to find information on DL's website but get some very general information. My family and I have been to DL about 4 times as family and my DH and I have been with our families when we were kids.

My family loves just being in the park, going on rides. They are not sure if they want to take the time out to go on a tour.

We will be there for 6 whole days for both parks and are staying at the GCH (first time).

The "A Walk in Walt's Footsteps" Tour is a walking tour of Disneyland Park and, with a little aid from the man himself, an exploration of how the life and experiences of Walt Disney manifested themselves in the first Disney Theme Park.

It includes priority boarding for The Disneyland Railroad, Jungle Cruise and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, as well as a sneak peak into the lobby of Club 33, an exclusive lounge and restaurant located in New Orleans Square.
