I am considering the Portofino Bay resort at Universal for a 2-night stay after a week at WDW. I know there are water taxis to take you to the Universal parks and Citywalk. Is it also possible to walk to the parks and Citywalk? Thanks for the help!

If you need more information on your trip, come on over to the Universal boards here on the Dis!

We stayed at the PBH in 2004 and walked to the HRC and it took us a little over 10 minutes. It's a nice walk also. Happy Holidays!

Thanks for all the info! I just had to cancel my WDW Christmas trip 2 days before we were supposed to leave (No flying for me--I had double ear infections and a ruptured ear drum:sick: ) WDW was great about it, and I rescheduled for Aug., and now am planning a huge road trip to WDW instead. I've been a planning machine, trying to keep myself from doing the "Right now, I'd be at..." all week long. I've never been to Universal, SeaWorld, etc., so the idea of having a much longer vacation with opportunities to do more than I ever have before has cheered me up.

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. A longer stay is a great thing and there is so much to do in FLA. Now you have more planning to do which is always a good thing. Hope you are feeling better soon and happy holidays to you and your family.

Hi! We stayed at the Portofino Bay in August. We walked to US, IOA and City Walk. They had a water taxi, but it was pretty busy so it was quicker to walk for us. We had our 5yr old and 1.5 yr old and used a double stroller. I don't know how children would do with the walk. But it was really not bad.
