It is actually closer to the parks than Disneyland Hotel if you cut through Grand Californian. It's just under half a mile to the center of the esplanade in front of Disneyland if you cut through the GCH lobby, and it's even less to enter DCA through the GCH entrance.
I recommend catching the monorail in DTD, it cuts the walk way down.
Good info! Is cutting through the GCH lobby possible in the early morning? We'll be going to the park around 6:30 to get to MM. Also, will the staff there mind at all if you're not a guest?![]()
This might help...We will be staying at Paradise pier. I hear it is a long walk to the parks. No problem for myself but how about a young grandma.
No problem at all.
Just know if you are not a resort guest you will not be able to use the DCA entrance from the grand for DCA opening, you will have to go strait to DTD and through security to the esplande to use the front gates.
Oh, we'll be staying at Paradise Pier if that helps?I"m trying to find a complete map of the GCH to get a more specific feel of the lay out.
Cool, thanks. I'm assuming that it also means we can walk through the GCH lobby in the early morning to get to DL and not get dirty looks?![]()
I stayed at the PPH in February 09. We found a short cut threw the parking lot just to the left of The PPH. So just exit PPH, go left towards the street to cross walk over to CGH. Instead of crossing the street towards CGH head toward the parking lot. Walk across the parking lot towards the back of the AMC theaters. You'll see a sidewalk that will curve around the back of the theaters and land you right in between AMC theaters and the Lego store. *We loved this route! It was a perfect short cut to DTD and for MM it was perfect.*
