walk from bc to monerail?

Yet another reason I like having APs!!
I can totally understand the relevance of this statement........
What possible advantage does having an AP give one for reaching the Monorail from the BC? From my understanding, the vast majority of guests have park hopper passes
Hypothetically speaking, the OP (or anyone for that matter) having an AP could walk through Epcot to the monorail for perhaps some MK resort shopping or dining ? The bus transportation from resort to resort can be quite a headache. I would think one could efficiently catch the monorail in Epcot to the MK and then either walk to the Contemp or catch the GF/POLY/Contemp resort monorail loop without it costing the price of park admission to Epcot. I wish AP's worked for our traveling habits, but most times they do not. Since the OP never stated specifically why she/he wanted to board the monorail, I feel Diane's suggestion was indeed a "possible advantage" to using the AP (as there are many !). :flower:

How much are the ap's with the dvc discount?
CarolMN answered your direct question. One thing to note, however, is that the DVC member discount on APs is not available to renters (sorry), only to DVC owners themselves. This pushes the price differential up to $172 or so, if there is a chance you won't go to the parks on two of the 12 days you are down there. So perhaps your intial plan of one AP and one 10 day park-hopping ticket is best (unless you can legally score one of those UK 14 day tix); the extra two days can be covered more cheaply with an expiring MYW ticket. Still, it's pretty close if you're doing parks on all 12 days.

A: AP cost (no discount): $421
B: 10 day MYW w/Park-Hopping (expires): $248 (adv purchase)
C: 2 day MYW base (expires): $127
D: 2 day MYW w Park-Hopping (expires): $164

Best case scenario given all 12 days in the parks (AP for you, options B+C for companion) = 421 + 248 + 127 = $796
All AP scanario: 421 * 2 = $842

This is all at 2005 rates, so come the New Year, everything will likely change - upward.

MrCrete, for your planning, I'd refer you to the Ticket Pricing page on AllEarsNet.com by clicking this link here

Good luck with the planning!
