I just noticed there is a Walgreens about 20 min away from where I work. Do you shop there, do the rebates, whatever. Is it worth it? Is it complicated and do they pay in about a month? I dont have a CVS, I wish we did. Thanks for sharing your experiences with Walgreens! :thumbsup2

I think they're worth it. They're very easy to do (one form to fill out and mail in, and they rarely ask for UPCs). You can use coupons and still get full price back, which helps cover tax and postage. Plus, if you opt to get your rebate on a Walgreens gift card they'll give you a 10% bonus. They usually process my rebates in about 3 weeks.

Their rebates save me a ton of money. For several months now they've had "feminine products" buy $10/get $10 back and I swear I'm stocked up for the next few years :rotfl:

I've had problems the last few times -- they don't send me my $$ and say an "original" receipt is required. I SENT THEM THE ORIGINAL. I kept a copy. So now I only have a copy which they won't accept either.........

anyone else having this problem with them?

This month was great! Tons of freebies. I've had mostly good luck with the rebates, a few items rejected, but for the most part no problems.

I have had great luck with them! I have been doing this for several months now. They pay on time (checks never take more than 3 weeks). The "free" items are well worth it, IMO.
Last month, I spent $53 and got $47.50 back! :) :) It is also a way to try a new product that you might not ordinarily buy - if it is free, there is no risk.

;)

I agree, worth the time to put deals together for Walgreen's. I usually more than make back what I purchase (even on items that are not free after rebate).
Make sure to mark your receipts very clearly, staple them together to the form. I found when I didn't staple them they would lose one of the receipts. I mark each receipt as 1 of 2, 2 of 2, etc.. and put my name and phone number on each receipt along the edge.

Another bonus... you can use a Walgreen's GC to purchase other gift cards. Great if you want to use your rebate savings for meals out, clothing or use on vacation.

I've been doing Walgreens rebates for years and love them. Some months are better than others, but I combine the weekly sale with coupons and then the store rebates. I stock up on whatever the deals are. I'm waiting for Aleve larger bottles to be on sale one week this month so I can do the spend $20 get $10 back deal. As someone else mentioned it is a great way to try new products. I donate anything that I won't use, or give to family and friends.

is the spend $10.00 get $10.00 still going on right now? I wasn't aware of this and it sounds like something I'd be interested in. What is included in it?
Thanks

Yes it is still going on this month. It is for Kotex brand. Buy $10 get a giftcard for $10. If you go to the Walgreens website, you can go to the link that is for the easysaver catalog and see what all is available.

There are several things I am going to get this month. Huggies Diapers are buy $20 get $10 back too.

I do this every month. Some months are better than others, but I figure every little bit helps. Plus I dont like the CVS with the ECB........seems like I have to make too many trips to the store to get a good deal and I live 35 miles from the closest one. I will stick to WG.

I read on another board that they are going to start having people put the rebate request online. I believe they are currently testing this in one state to see how it works.
